One of my favorite holiday songs is the 1950’s classic “Frosty the Snowman.” It brings to mind images of kids all bundled up in their winter coats and heading out to play in the snow. Whether you’re living in a snowy environment, or not, snowmen are the perfect party theme for kids! There are so many delicious treats that can be made in the shape of good old Frosty. These Snowman Cupcakes (made by Martha Stewart) are absolutely adorable. A couple of marshmallows on top of a frosted chocolate cupcake and your little guy just comes to life! You can also use classic sugar cookie dou... |
Today's inspiration board is all about a palette that I think would be lovely in winter but could also work for spring - wintergreen and slate with white and hints of a warm cream color mixed in. The feel is relaxed formal, the dresses are sheer but layered, the flowers are lush with white blooms, succulents and greenery. The slate color is always present but is never too dark. I love the green and white stationery, the champagne bar (what drink could be more perfect for celebrating?), the bay leaf garland, and for a departure from tradition - unconventional yet delicious cream puffs for desse... |

The state of Florida, especially south Florida, is a beautiful and warm place this time of year. It is free from snow and cold and it warms our hearts that Jessica and Adam, the bride and groom, did such an amazing job bringing the beautiful characteristics of winter into their very own winter-themed backyard wedding venue. The photographer Stephanie from EMinDee Images captured their winter-themed wedding details perfectly. Stephanie tells us…“This couple built up their entire back yard into a Winter Wonderland for their wedding… from ceremony to reception. Adam is very handy, and J... |

Becky’s bridal shoot was the brainchild of wedding photographer Bethan Haywood Jones. She found Becky online and loved her look (hello, purple hair!) and so approached her with the idea of a winter themed shoot. “Aaaaah, winter. However, the winter weddings I am lucky enough to shoot are usually bursting with love, life and enough warm things to make your toes feel toasty. So my inspiration for this bridal shoot was to show that even on t... |
