Our newest obsession? Cupcakes on candlesticks! This is quite possibly the cutest way to display wedding cupcakes. If you don’t have a hundred candlesticks – one for every guest (and, understandably so) – use the candlesticks exclusively for the bride and groom or the head table. Isn’t this such a cute idea? photo via Whipperberry These are black cherry cupcakes in a jar wrapped in frayed fabric and tied with a ribbon. Don’t forget the cherry on top! As an interior designer, I’m constantly on the hunt for fabulous accessories and decor pieces for clients and I’m always tempted to write about them here, but dont since I’m clearly not a design blog. But I’ve finally figured out a way around that! So many things I come across would make for great registry or bridal gifts, so I’m starting a new column called Registry Redux, and in a nutshell, its pretty much anything I would have wanted to register for when I was getting married! We’re not talking crockpots here people, we’re talking serious modern design….hope you guys ... |
While flowers are lovely, this tablescape stuck out to me today. I instantly recognized the Lumiere (from CB2) as I have a few at home. I love how they could be a centerpiece all on their own. Such a beautiful and yet inexpensive way to add atmosphere to your affair. And unlike floral centerpieces, you get to keep and reuse them (or maybe even sell to other brides) after the wedding. A très fabu and eco-friendly idea from The Martha, don’t you think? { image credits } Related posts from our archives:Tutorial: Eco-chic ChandelierMom’s Fruit & Nut CenterpiecesMom’s D... |

........ oh, excuse me, I was just fantasizing about the fabulous life someone with these faded and glorious Florentine carved wood candlesticks from Restoration Hardware must have. Can't you just picture them outside, with candle wax dripped all around? A plate full of freshly made pasta with peas from the garden in your lap, a nice glass of Rosé from Provençe. A friend strums his guitar on the chair across from you. The cool breeze wafts in the scent of Jasmine and salt air ......... or the most romantic wedding ever could be styled around these candlesticks, don't you think? sigh... |
OMG EMMA CASE IS ON THE BLOG!!!! I am so excited to share this beautiful wedding today as not only is it fabulous but it is also shot by the lovely Emma Case whom I have admired from my shy corner of the wedding blog world for ages. In fact, when we met at the RocknRoll Bride party last year, I got so shy I had to run away and eat a cupcake to calm myself down. In all seriousness, this girl is awesome. And so is this wedding. Enter Hayley and Ant, the bride and groom starring in the photos below. The two were married in December of last year at the Trafalgar Tavern in Greenwich, and while the... |
