The talented ladies over at Always a Bridesmaid designed and coordinated this New York City fete that featured a beachy summer Hamptons feel ~ it was held on the 4th of July after all! The couple was married on the rooftop of the Skylight West, guests partied the night away in the multi-level event facility and it was all captured by Dave Robbins Photography. We provided the calligraphy for the beautiful watercolor invitations that were commissioned from a friend of the bride and groom, and the cake was designed to match it. The room decor included classic “Hampton-esque” lanter... |
This weekend we drove out to NYC for our friends’ wedding. As a guest I decided to limit myself to 50 frames, and ended up choosing 30. As part of a traditional Korean wedding, the bride and groom change into traditional Korean costumes (Hanbok) and do a bowing ceremony (Pyebaek) to honor their parents and special relatives. The bride serves them tea, and the parents present their gifts. My favorite part is when the parents throw figs (girls) and chestnuts (boys), and however many the couple may catch in her dress or a scarf represent how many children the couple will have. They are back! Remember their engagement photos from last week? Well, we have their elegant NYC wedding to share with you today from photomuse. Our wedding was about love, pure and simple. We kept the guest count to 75 so that we could have as much personal time as possible with our closest family and friends. Every decision and detail was made with love. As a result, our wedding perfectly reflected us as a couple and was the wedding our dreams. Before we got dressed, we got to go up and see the penthouse and it was breath-taking. We both cried and could not wait to see each other bef... |
Words by Courtney CoxPhotos courtesy of The Setai Fifth AvenueWhen people think of destination weddings, more often than not, their minds venture to soft sandy beaches and tropical drinks. However, there are those future brides out there who feel a big city wedding is more their style. For those urbanites, enter The Setai Fifth Avenue, a Capella Managed Hotel, which provides the wedding services a couple needs with views of New York City which can’t be beat. The hotel has been open for exactly a year, but quickly established itself as a venue with outstanding service and a unique atmosphere t... |

I've been reading Didi's blog for quite some time. I just remembered her gorgeous wedding held at Gramercy Park in NYC. She wore a gardenia in her hair and carried a violet bouquet made by Livia Cetti. You know how I feel about violets? I think this wedding just goes to show that you don't need lots of props and crazy decorations to have a pretty day. This is effortless defined. More lovely photos here.P.S. How fabulous are those shoes?Top photo from The Green Vase. All other photos from Little Winter Bride.... |
Loving this NYC engagement shoot by Heidi Chosen Photography! Liana and Matthew wanted a more natural engagement shoot where the photographer documented them walking all over NYC, where they reside. Love the NYC scenery and the gritty NYC street in contrast to them and how they included fido too. It's a great way to capture a time in your life where you can look back later and reminece with your hubby where your lives where when you first started your lives together. xo LOVE this Post? A while back we featured the gorgeous Tara letterpress invitations that we printed for Joy and Doug’s chic New York City wedding. Today it’s an absolute pleasure to share their beautiful and glamorous celebration! Inspired by the 1930s, the bride wore a stunning vintage Eavis & Brown wedding dress and carried fun personalized details throughout the day. Complete with dancing in the streets of Manhattan, this wedding is a festive celebration of love and a lifetime of memories to come. Many thanks to Joy and Doug for letting us share their beautiful wedding with you and congratulations f... |
