Filed under: Rentals & Transportation Kate Headley If you're planning an outdoor wedding, you should definitely consider renting a tent. Your caterer or event planner should be able to give you the names of reliable tent-rental companies. Those companies will be able to advise you on everything from tent types to dance ...

For an outdoor spring, summer or fall wedding or reception to accommodate around 50 guests, this gazebo style wedding tent is an elegant and tasteful way to protect everyone from the wind and rain.  Especially here in Virginia, where in spite of a well publicized state motto, “Virginia Is For Lovers,” it can rain on your special day faster than your brother’s children can fill their pockets with all of your personalized M & Ms. This white waterproof canopy tent is almost double the price of what you would pay for renting one the same size, but if you envision...

Being in Florida, we get a lot of requests for outdoor weddings.  It's common to find ceremony space outside, but planning an entire reception outdoors carries a lot of weather risk.  So what do we do?  Rent a tent and depending on the season, have air conditioners or heaters on standby.      Tented weddings can be ballroom-style grandiose, or quaint and outdoorsy.  You can play up the natural surroundings or bring the inside out and add chandeliers, carpet, and furniture.  The wonderful thing about tented weddings is that you begin with a blank slate in which to create y...
