Monica at The White Box started a conversation with a question, Why are Brides Scared of Wedding Planners? Then A Bride in the Making answered her question. I’d like to dive in too, if you don’t mind.I actually never thought about it this way. I never thought that a bride was “afraid” of a wedding planner. Seriously, what is there to be afraid of. We (as wedding consultants) are there to help you, the bride. Maybe it’s just that hiring a wedding consultant used to be so expensive and only Mulit-Gazillionaires could afford them. And times have definitely changed – consultants are mu... |
I was just about to start my post for the morning, when I read an email from Michelle at Allure Wedding Consulting & Event Planning. Michelle designs and plans weddings in the San Francisco Bay Area and I must say, they are absolutely beautiful... I could have posted every single image that Michelle features in her gallery as they were all stunning, but I thought that it would be more fun for you to head over to her website and see each wedding in its entirety. Michelle and her partner, Kristin, work with brides on everything from day of planning to full event design. This... |

In fact, it's more than that, because it's not just a single wedding consultant, it's an entire collection of them.In each chapter, Ingram consults with an expert or two -- event planners, financial planners, travel agents, florists, even a psychologist -- and then either compiles the information received, or transcribes the interviews. The information is broken down into accessibl... |
Wedding consultants are known for saving time and money for their clients. Some qualities to look for in a wedding consultant:Experience: A good track record is usually the best guide, so check references and talk frankly with previous clients.Professionalism: The consultant should understand the wedding business. Congeniality: A congenial consultant works with you: they won't pressure you into decisions you aren't comfortable making.Good chemistry: It's important that you feel comfortable with the consultant that you'll work with. Is this someone who you'll want t... |
I don't know do you? This is a question that often comes up, but most of the time the bride thinks that she doesn't because she has it all handled. And maybe she does. I mean tons of weddings happen everyday without a wedding planner and those people are married. But if you have a lot of details that need attention, or understand that you don't have control of timing, or your vendors on your wedding day, and you want to be a guest at your own party and not worry about IF the cake showed up, or IF the DJ has the right timeline, or IF the photographer is on the same page as the caterer. Than may... |

A professional wedding consultant is invaluable during the planning process. Obviously I'm a bit biased, but one of the biggest regrets in their wedding planning that married women have was not hiring a planner to help them pull their vision together. I cannot even begin to tell you how many times I have heard from women who didn't enjoy their wedding day because they were stressed out with all the little details. Don't let that happen to you - you deserve to have fun and relax at your own wedding! This is one topic that I can be quite verbose on, but I am going to share the platform here an... |
