  • My wedding colors were a combination of various shades of green including sage and cream. I integrated these colors throughout the ceremony and reception. Wanting to be different, I didn’t get the typical bridal bouquet but instead opted for something simpler-a green cymbidium orchid wrist corsage that matched with my husband’s boutonniere and also coordinated well with his green vest and tie. During cocktail hour, guests were treated to Jones’s green apple and cream soda and apple martinis. I’ve never been a huge fan of the word “theme.” It kind of conjures up thoughts of overdone blah, of too pink, too silly, too everything. And yet writing a wedding blog and having seen literally thousands upon thousands of weddings, I have been proven wrong time and time again. So now, I’m just thinking that we need a new word for theme. How about Inspired? Better, right? Well, this “inspired” wedding captured the subtle beauty of the James J.
