We came across this gorgeous vintage-themed photo shoot this week and had to feature it! Curtis from Moore Photography did an amazing job capturing every detail.  Curtis worked with Andrea from Soiree Event Planning in the planning of this shoot—they obviously make a great team because this shoot is absolutely breath-taking! All of the flowers were done by McDarmid Flowers. The dress was made by Vera Wang and provided by Atelier Couture. The cakes were made by High Tea Bakery. They are so gorgeous! Thanks Curtis for letting us share this! We hope everyone has been inspired....

Untitled by kimmdavis featuring Marchesa dressesThe whole idea incorporating vintage is to create that fashion stamp of yesteryear or add few touches of it that make you look and feel pretty. Vintage today is enjoying a revival. Particularly hot are contemporary gowns and dresses with a twist of something 20th century. This could be a nipped in waist a la Audrey Hepburn, a beaded chemise from the jazz age or even a turn of the century high-collared blouse. It doesn't have to be an actual vintage piece either; it can be a repro (reproduction) piece. The sets here certainly inspired me. They mi...

Yesterday's Vintage Inspired Fashion Shoot was a feast for the eyes and the imagination. Just envision yourself as our model did, with a suitcase full of vintage finds and an afternoon on the grass. Today we have even more inspiration, styled by the lovely Pauline of Elations Designs  and photographed by the talented Vera Pakizer. I've always been a fan of lace gowns, particularly those with dramatic details like long sleeves or black accents. This vintage lace gown is utterly unforgettable and undeniably timeless. The scalloped neckline and fitted waist are perfectly complimentary, but...

Emily and Chris threw a gorgeous Southern wedding with loads of divine vintage details in beautiful Knoxville, Tenn., on November 7. The ceremony and wedding took place at the historic antebellum Bleak House (a Confederate home) located on the Tennessee River, with five tiered gardens -- you can still see the bullet holes from the civil war on the home! The couple had appetizers served all evening along with old-fashioned soda, a wine bar and a yummy candy buffet.  Personal touches ... :Lots of DIYs - including our sign post [my husband made] which had arrows on it tha...
