So I have an incredibly talented family, I just have to say. My mom is making our amazing ring bowls that I’ll be posting soon. My cousin is making us our awesome cake topper. My brother has made our signs–and I’m so excited to share them!! I fell in love with this image a long time ago, and knew I wanted to recreate it: Now I should probably let you know that Vince drives a smart car. This is hilarious, because he’s a pretty big guy, and it’s so funny to see him in such a little car… See? Funny, huh? So, we are driving away from our reception in this car-and I wanted... |
Have you noticed an increase in the "sinage" used in wedding photography over the past year or so? Cute sentiments keep popping up in engagement shots & wedding spreads and I love it. (Miranda created several adorable signs for R & A's engagement and day of shots and they ended up being some of my favourites). It's such a sweet (& cost effective) way to add a little playfulness to a couple's photos. Some inspiration to help you spell-it-out... : : Anniversary or Save the Date : :{Photo by EVS Media via Once Wed}: : Little Love Notes : : "Just... {above images from Tara Guerard's Southern Weddings}For a long time now, I've loved the above look with the handwritten signs. I decided to try and make my own version and I'm planning on sticking the signs in a milk glass compote or a milk glass bud vase. Instead of coffee beans, I'm going to use sea salt crystals (keeping the white-on-white theme a little bit!) Thinking about using this next to the yummy favors. And this next to the guestbook (obviously) with a few pens stuck in the salt as well.Anyone else making handmade wedding signage???... |
Well hello! How does this early morning blog post find you? This Friday morning's set of inspiration boards is brought to you by yours truly. I've been meaning to craft together some wedding sign related inspiration boards for sometime now but was inspired to do some this week after featuring this wedding, which included a fabulous love in lights sign, see 2 below. Wedding signs can be a fun prop on your big day. They could also serve as a fun DIY project and they look fabulous in wedding photographs. I've just pulled together some images I hope might inspire you if you... |
There is something just so rustic and charming about an outdoor wedding on a warm summer night. Even cuter; wedding signage inspired by European street signs (at least in my mind) to direct guests to important wedding events. Last year at Emily + Ryen's wedding, Emily's father hand crafted an amazing sign post that pointed in all directions; to the chapel in the woods, the restrooms, and dancing. *Photo from Project Wedding *Photo by Stephanie WilliamsNot only are these signs a whimsical touch to your celebration; they are so easy to make. Use old fence pickets found at a resale store simply p... |
Just a cute little piece of signage that, although not important or necessary, would make a lovely addition to the brides door while she is getting ready throughout the day. Perhaps a crafty bridesmaid could make this for her friend since not too many brides will have time for DIY projects like this!as seen on: the brides cafe photo by: sweet monday photo... |
Allow me to introduce our home-made chalkboard to you! (Please ignore the flash and hasty writing!) I spent several weeks searching for a chalkboard set in an ornate and frilly frame with no luck ... So we decided to make our own. What we did:First, my Mom turned up an old frame in the garage ... I originally thought I'd paint it white but ended up liking the naturally rustic feel.Off to Home Depot we went, found a friendly employee who helped us cut a piece of (shoot, I forgot what it was called! I'll update later once I find out!) ... any type of plywood should do, though!Picked up some chalk... |
Happy Monday, lovelies! Pointing your guests in the right direction has never looked prettier. Creating simple, handmade signs for the different aspects of your big day is an adorable way to set the tone for your affair. Try tying the signs into the feel of the rest of the wedding-- think distressed wood for a rustic affair, or brightly painted paper signs for a fun, casual event. These examples would be easy to re-create, and would surely be an appreciated detail! Are you creating any sweet signs for your wedding day?
