A summer wedding in Oregon Vineyard. Can you taste the wine now? These invitations came out lovely...just lovely! Sometimes I print an invitation suite & run into a few bumps, others print perfectly. These printed perfectly. I think it was a reflection of the whole process. Maggie is a book designer {& cook!} & we decided early on in the design process that I would provide her with the imagery & feedback {& of course, the printing} while she would do the typesetting & layout. Included in the suite was an invitation, rsvp, map of the area, & a... |
Fall and wine go hand in hand, and as we embark on the remaining days of the summer sunshine, it’s the perfect time to take some inspiration from these vineyard weddings. Get lost with your new husband among the vines in Napa, France, Italy, or any other vineyard. You might even get to help make some of your own wine if you plan your event according to the harvest season. {Images from: Once Wed, Green Wedding Shoes, Stephanie Williams Photography, Stephanie Williams Photography, Once Wed} Incorporate the wine into your decorations by using empty wine bottles as vases, candle holders, or... |
I am meeting our florist this weekend to make some final changes (read: I am a lunatic and am changing the centerpieces) so I was looking through Brides for some inspiration. Seeing as how I have the attention span of a gnat, I was quickly distracted and started looking through pictures of vineyard weddings...my other love, maybe surpassing nautical. Check out this bouquet:And these escort cards, pinned onto mini cork boards! An excellent alternative to actual corks, while still continuing the "wine" theme...These confetti throwers are a great idea that could be made in a cost effective wa... |
First of all, let me say that I am sorry I haven't bee posting much lately! Work is currently consuming me, but the good news is that the majority of the nonsense will be over by next Friday. In the meantime, here are some pics I found of a gorgeous wedding at Ponte Winery in Temecula photographed by the amazingly talented Leigh Miller. I am secretly jealous of any and all people that are married in vineyards. I've never seen a wedding in that setting that I haven't absolutely loved! This picture of the couple made me smile, and I don't even know them. They just seem so happy! And here is a co... |

Wow, how is it already Friday?! I’m heading up to St. Louis tomorrow to visit my friend (and go to a workshop and do a photo shoot!) and let me tell you… I am going to FREEZE! I’ve been freezing here in Florida the past few days and it’s only been in the 60s! So wish me luck in dealing with the cold! ;) I thought it would be nice to end the week with this rustic vineyard wedding from Jana Williams Photography. There’s something about rustic weddings that makes them so cozy and intimate- and this wedding definitely evokes both of those things! The gorgeous bride Ja... |
Hello! I do say I have been very fortunate to work on some seriously lovely designs as of late. The bride, Heidi, is a wind power analyst {awesome!} & her fiance is a helicopter pilot. They wanted a design evocative of a rustic vineyard in the Blue Ridge Mountains during Autumn. The wedding is taking place outdoors where they would be surrounded by the bright yellows, oranges, & reds of the changing leaves. We decided instead of going for the obvious vineyard theme {grapes} or Autumn colors {yellow, orange, & red}, we would go for rustic florals in a cool, mono-toned pal... |
When you live in the Bay Area it’s kind of hard to imagine a more perfect setting for your wedding than the surrounding wineries of Sonoma. Despite being from Texas and Louisiana, Ellinor + Tim decided to get married near San Francisco to give their guests a glimpse into their Northern California lives. So happy they did, because now we get to share all its beauty with you! In terms of money saving tips, we started from the frame of mind that we did not require all of the usual wedding elements. We decided very early on what parts were important to us, and that is where we spent our money... |
