I’m not going to lie, I was anti-videographer in a big way. I didn’t get it when I had heard time and time again from friends and family that their only regret was that they didn’t have a videographer. Why I wondered? Photographers are always a given, but really a videographer in my mind was unnecessary. What could a videographer capture that a photographer wouldn’t? When would we watch it? Despite all hesitations and trepidation, my fiance and I succumbed to the requests of our family and looked into it. We decided on what we didn’t want. Corny background music, narration/intervie... |

I can't remember which wedding blog that led me to these videographers, but I have to share. This is possibly one of the most amazing videos I've ever seen of a wedding and it makes me want to get married all over again just to have them there. I know I didn't. To this day, I'm not sure if I'm going to regret it or not but in retrospect, I think it would've been nice. I'm sure I wouldn't be watching it over and over and it probably would be collecting dust like my quince VHS.Whether you're not sure if you want or maybe it's a budget deal, Mike, from StoryMix Media can help! They send you a flip cam, you assign someone to video the most important parts and they edit it for you. This is what one of our couples in March did and they were completely pleased with the results. Here's the teaser (short version)... |

You don't want to see a highlights or "greatest hits" reel. You want to see an entire wedding from getting ready to the ceremony and through the reception to get an idea of how each part of the day is caught on film. Permalink | Email this | Comments... |

photo credit: www.amdv.co My husband works in film production and occasionally does weddings. He wanted to pass along some tips to all of you who are looking for or are considering hiring a wedding videographer… How many cameras should I have film my wedding? You have to ask yourself … When you watch this in a year or 10 years, what do you want to see? For the most part, people want to see facial expressions of the bride and groom and reactions of each. In order to do that well you need at least three cameras. One camera stays focused on the groom, one on the bride and one that ... |
It’s always a good idea to be aware of the videographer’s whereabouts. He's usually easy to spot because his camera will probably have a bright spotlight glaring at or near you. If you see or sense a bright light heading your way put a smile on your face or begin talking to the person next to you to show the bride and groom that you are enjoying yourself. People almost never look good eating on camera so that’s why I didn’t suggest that you begin eating.Remember, you don’t want to be the one person caught on the final wedding video with a look of disgust, horror or just a rather unp... |
