Clearly this venue stands above so many others for a variety of reasons. Vibiana is probably one of the most stately and glamorous locations in So Cal. From it’s graciously landscaped garden courtyard to it’s gilded foyer walls, Vibiana is pure beauty. Layers of century old marble adorn the grand stage and windows open to views of the city skyline. My favorite part… the choral mezzanine perched above. Several of our weddings have hidden a choir or mariachis up there. A sweet surprise for the guests. This is a must see if you are looking for a venue that offers the grandeur of times... |
Elegant, yet down to earth, sweet, gracious… I could go on and on about Stephanie. Last year this newly engaged bride to be and her mom, Elizabeth, sat in my office inquiring “Where do we start”? As most of you know, finding the right venue is the hardest part. After that everything else makes sense and falls into place. A week later we met at Vibiana and it was a perfect fit. I remember watching Stephanie and her beau, Adrian, embracing in the choir balcony, whispering “this is it”. The rest of the story unfolds below. My favorite little detail… I LOVE a bride with colored shoes. ... |
Earlier this year Jessica’s mom contacted us for help in finding the perfect venue for her daughter’s wedding. She mentioned that Jessica loved architecture. With this in mind it was no surprise that they fell in love with Vibiana. A gorgeous Bride, a handsome Groom, and breath-taking architecture. Brian and Allison of Callaway Gable were there to capture all of the fun and love. You will see what I mean by FUN at the end of this post. Callaway Gable‘s images are timeless and truly reflect the beauty of the day. To see more of Jessica and Nathan’s wedding day at Vibiana click her... |
I think it happens to anyone pursuing an artistic endeavor: you get stuck. Or maybe I'm the only person who's felt this way, the only person who's let the funk cloud my mind. If that's the case, this post isn't for you. Feel free to come back tomorrow for regular programming. What I'm referring to is the moment when you realize that what you're doing isn't enough...to satisfy you, to make you feel inspired, to feel enough, even if but for a flickering moment. Maybe it affects me more than most, but when I feel a wave of _________ coming on, I try to create. Anything. Something. Having ... |
Jessica and Nathan’s wedding at Vibiana in downtown Los Angeles was more than just a wedding. It was a blowout celebration of two people who love and appreciate their family and friends as much as each other. This wedding was so special for us because you could literally feel the love in the room. And Jessica’s dad. Wow. What a fun guy – he was constantly hamming it up all night: making faces in photos, cracking jokes. He was having a blast. I couldn’t help but imagine myself in his shoes – years from now, doing the same when my babies get married. Special thanks to all who contribu... |
Sunday was the Soolip Bridal show at Vibiana in downtown LA. Even though I am on the preferred vendor list as a wedding coordinator for Vibiana I opted to not do my own booth this year. Instead, my friend NancyKay, cake bake extraordinaire of NancyKay's Confections asked me to decorate her booth for her. I jumped at the chance as I had not had a fun craft project in quite a while! NancyKay let me take the reins and didn't flinch when I told her I wanted to do a springtime garden bursting with butterflies.I chose as the base for everything a celery green dupioni silk and used pink everywhere th... |
Attached are a few wedding pictures of Michelle & Dave's gorgeous wedding at Vibiana in downtown Los Angeles. Dave and Michelle was the most easy going couple I've had to date and it was such a pleasure working with them and their lovely (large) family! Michelle was sweet enough to answer questions for currently engaged couples, and I love the answer to her last question--it really sums up the wedding day. Enjoy! What was the best part of your wedding day? The best part was having all of our friends and family together in one room. What do you feel was totally unnecessary? Nothing W... |
Meet Allison and Danny: An energetic lovely duo madly in love. They wanted a classic yet grandiose space to accommodate friends and family from near and far. Vibiana in downtown Los Angeles seemed like a perfect fit! This wedding wasn't only going to be beautiful, but it had to be personal to them also. Allison and Danny decided to commemorate their loved ones by assigning a table full of photos in ornate frames. That's just the start of things! Statement pieces, such as their red carpet runner, cozy love seat for dinner, black chandelier, and the many stringed lights above the crowd... |

Neda wore Kenneth Pool and Christian Louboutin. Eidin wore Yves Saint Laurent and Christian Louboutin. (Look below – he may be the only formally-dressed groom in the world who can pull of not wearing socks on his wedding day) Together they make one of the most gorgeous couples to date and together they were married in one of the most festive evenings at Vibiana in downtown Los Angeles to date. From the traditional Muslim wedding ceremony to the party and reception afterwards, the whole day was truly a celebration of what Neda and Eidin are all about: love, fun, family and friends.
