Continuing my wanderlust for France is a virtual tour of Versaille… Um, how amazing is the pattern of the stone? I love the geometry in contrast to the ornate facade. I die for this chair and this bed. And this is perhaps the most perfect french canopy ever. Even the stairs are so pretty I could hang out on one of these landings any day. And the stables? The stone vault and beautiful wood details, make me very jealous of the horses who call this home. These photos are from the book Versaille: A Private Invitations, which will be coming home with me soon, I’m sure! Photographer:... |

. . . one of my most favourite places in the world is versailles, a place so filled with the magic of history and the perfectly ornate stories of times gone by, it nearly overwhelms; often filled with travelers and admirers, one can only imagine how it must have been in the quiet of nightfall, especially the wonderfully mysterious appartements privés de marie antoinette / private apartments of marie antoinette, and the majestic hall of mirrors, enveloped in the beautiful shadows cast by a sea of chandeliers . . .{images: all photography by the cherry blossom girl}{this is glamorous} on facebo... |

Years ago I created a painting for Taylor. She was hosting a Parisian influenced event and wanted a watercolor wedding invitation inspired by an aerial view of Versailles Gardens. Enter my Versailles Swirl artwork. Since then we have adapted, deconstructed and detailed this original look for Brides all over the world. Who doesn’t love a little swirl? For Allison, a subtle sea vibe was in order balanced by the structure of gray damask. Amy opted for a Deco nod in her Peacock plumed swirl… Melissa more than nodded to Deco and even had us sketch a swanky couple silhouette... |
Entry No. 11: VersaillesBefore I gush about the splendor of Versailles, I think I should just say that if you're planning a honeymoon or trip to any city or region in France, stop worrying whether you've chosen the perfect spot. You have and you will love it. I cannot get enough of this land ... it's beautiful, romantic, charming, real, opulent and primitive, all at the same time. It intrigues me to no end. If you have the chance to visit Versailles, do. Do. Do. We spent two nights in the city of Versailles. Our bed and breakfast was two short blocks from the palace. Beautiful city, incre... |

Since fall is so closely associated with the many colors that is offers, I thought it would be fitting to put up a post of a recent fall wedding, which featured fall colors, yet took place at another location, synonymous with New Jersey, The Jersey Shore. There is a reason, why the New Jersey Shore is featured in one of the most popular reality shows today. The new Versailles Ballroom at the Ramada of Toms River, offers all the aesthetics couples have come to expect from a New Jersey reception location, in addition to being a stone’s throw away from beautiful, and picturesque ocean view... |
