I am in love with these paper flowers by Livia Cetti of The Green Vase. Livia is the most skilled florist I have ever met, and her level of observation and pure love of flowers shows in these beautifully detailed specimens. Of course, I also appreciate and usually recommend the real thing, but if you're ever in a situation where beautiful fresh blooms aren't available or hard to find, these are a lovely alternative. For a destination wedding, I envision single blooms placed in glass bottles that are arranged casually down the center of a long table. If you're worried about the longevity of y... |

Years ago I saw a episode of Martha Stewart where her guest was a women that made, yes made, all of her flowers…out of paper! She would make a few here and there when she had some time and saved them up. By the time the wedding day rolled around, she had completed all that she needed! There is no reason, if you so desire, that you couldn’t do the very same thing! Or perhaps you like the idea but do not wish to deck out your entire day in paper flowers - simply apply where you feel necessary! I am loving all the paper flowers I've been seeing lately on many of my favorite blogs. Today I even saw the sweetest paper flamingos in Anthropologie that were made with pages of old books and sheet music. I've been sending my cousin all kinds of different links when I see cool DIY decor ideas for the wedding since she is so crafty and creative. She has a wonderful blog, Three Little Chickies, that showcases some of her crafty projects and certainly her poetic writing. She sent me a lovely surprise in the mail - a very cool paper flower in purples and greens (... |
