I love easy crafty projects, and was excited when Meg Perotti posted an easy step-by-step tutorial for making your own teacup candles!  Teacup candles make beautiful additions to any tabletop or lovely and thoughtful favors.  Meg thrifted her teacups at Salvation Army and Goodwill, and purchased candle making supplies on Etsy and at Michaels. Happy Friday Friends! I bet you are just as sleep deprived as I am after watching the royal wedding. Its funny how last week I couldn't care less about it but in the last few days I managed to get sucked in.  Kate looked absolutely stunning in her Alexander McQueen gown and her Prince looked equally handsome. In keeping with the British theme, today's faves are all about teacups. You can find so many in local thrift stores and antique shops and do so many things with them!   Candy or dessert- Teacups are the perfect size for a little portioned bite-size snack! Put a teacup with a dessert of some sort at each place setting, and you instantly have additional table decor!   Via Style Me Pretty, by Adrienne Maples Photo Studios   Centerpiece- Using teacups as part of table decor is my favorite. Filed under: Do-It-Yourself, Favors, Green WeddingsThe picture of the arrangement in a teacup comes from Teleflora, so you could just order a few of these, but how much more personal (and less expensive!) to make your own. If you don't have a collection of teacups, you can find pretty and inexpensive cups from department stores. Dollar stores have even been known to carry cups and saucers!Instead of an arrangement of cut flowers, you could put in a small plant from your very own garden or indoor plants. African violets would work, Devon violets, marigolds, or any other plant with smallish blos...

  • Happy Saturday! What’s that, you say? Fresh posts at EB? Why, yes – of course! Does your wedding planning come to a screeching halt because it’s the weekend? We didn’t think so! I frequent thrift shops, estate sales, and garage sales searching for the next perfect teacup to add to my collection. One problem? There are not nearly enough opportuni...
