You might be wondering why I keep bringing out all things that revolve around the approaching Spring season. Well, in the fashion world it is always best to be ahead of the game. Designers have already launched their Spring/Summer 2011 collections at Mercedes Benz Fashion Week, and they have selected what is going to be hot and what’s not. For this inspiration board, I wanted to focus on all the beautiful colors of Spring. And again, with a little help from Pantone I’ve selected the following colors as inspiration: Beeswax, Blue Curacao, Honeysuckle, and Lavender. Hope you enj... |
Filed under: Receptions, CeremoniesIf you can't beat it, why not make it a theme? Spring and rain are inseparable. You won't likely opt for an outdoor wedding in the season of April showers (if you do, here is the footwear for you!) but raindrop and spring flowers make a picture-pretty theme for a spring wedding. You could choose to get married under this pretty umbrella, or you might have them dotted around the reception. (Since they're really more parasol than actual rain-deterrent, they'd be great for a summer wedding, too.) Add blue decorations, some clear glass raindrops and maybe decorati... |
Choosing bridesmaids’ dresses can be quite a challenge. With winter coming to an end and spring right around the corner, here are some tips to help you keep your bridal party looking and feeling season-appropriate! It’s that time of year! Both in the spring and the fall we are always making samples for our clients to make sure the look we are going for is in line with what the caterer is providing as well. Above is a fun sample of manzanita branches with terra cotta roses attached to the branches with plums inside the vase over at Design Cuisine for a wedding we are doing at the Meridian House in the fall… Then for this sample we were asked to create an interesting eco-friendly design for a corporate event at Window Catering Company…All items can be planted again or simply placed ... |
Including cakes! I have to admit when I saw this cake from a distance I wasn’t exactly sure what was going on. Then with closer inspection I realized that this is a basic three tiered square cake. Only this cake was a little different! On each side there is a tree and each tree represents a different season. It’s the weather cycle at its best folks. Now, this isn’t something that could just be slapped on a cake and called it a day. You have to make it look classy & that’s exactly what they did. The “spring” tree has beautiful buds, the summer tree has bright and full gre... |

Are you letting the season help dictate your wedding style? (How much do you love the first bouquet in ombre and stripes? Stop. It̵... |
