Please tell me y’all are having as much hair-envy from these photos as I am! The elusive “Southern Bump” is my favorite hair do ever, after all. Not familiar with the SB? Why, it’s the style with the perfect amount of sweet and classic mixed with just the right amount of pouf (to make it sassy!). When I got married, of course, I asked my hair dresser for the Bump, and to make me look like a vintage Bridget Bardot and not like Marge Simpson. And yes, it is a very fine line! ...

Y’all, you are in for a TREAT today. As you ladies + gents know, we usually feature three “Southern by Design” stories in each print edition. We had the first two nailed down (one of which you saw yesterday, and the other which you’ll see soon!), but the third one was stumping us. We knew we wanted to work with Summer from Grey Likes Weddings (because she’s AMAZING, obviously), but nothing was clicking until one word popped into our brains: punch! What could be more Southern and lovely than punch?? Summer and her styling partner in crime Cortnie did such a st...

Southern Weddings Magazine held their launch party here in Atlanta this past Sunday - what a night! It was wonderful to finally meet the (incredibly sweet!) ladies of Southern Weddings and to mingle with some of the amazing vendors who have been a part of the magazine or blog in one way or another for the past couple years. The event was held at Dogwood which is a beautiful new restaurant in Midtown - if you’re ever in Atlanta, you should definitely check it out. In true southern form, they served up the most divine biscuits and a few southern fried delights - yum. Lara Casey and the ladie...
