I am la-la-loving today’s first featured affair. Actually, I love anything that Calder Clark of Blue Moon Events in Charleston does and when you pair that up with the genius that is A Bryan Photo…the result is TOTAL perfection! I actually had the pure pleasure of meeting Calder when I was in Charleston for a wedding and when I tell you that she is talented, I am hardly doing her justice. At the time, they were preparing a dessert bar for an upcoming wedding and it just might have been the prettiest thing you’ve ever seen. Plus, she gave us a cookie for the ride home, which was icing on ... |
Spring in the Pacific Northwest was the perfect season for this wedding! During the month of April the Skagit Valley Tulip Festival takes place just to the north of us. Tulips were an excellent choice for this afternoon wedding at the gorgeous Annie Wright School. The brides bouquet (above) consisted of purple tulips, white waxflower and ruscus. I wrapped the stems with satin ribbon and accented the handle with pearls. The bridesmaid bouquet (above) consisted of purple and white tulips with white waxflower and ruscus. The stems on this bouquet were also wrapped with satin ribbon. ... |
We are going to end the day with such a cool, awesome, perfect in every way wedding. Can you tell that we are a bit excited about this one? Well there is very good reason. This New York couple wanted to have a green city wedding where urban chic meets a natural garden wonderland. The Foundry played host to this wonderful affair and the venue couldn’t have been more spot on. The old ivy covered brick walls are such a beautiful contrast to the pale blues and greens of their color palette and all of the DETAILS are beyond. From the BBQ sauce table markers to the Tom’s shoes bridal party gifts... |
My obsession with all things yellow is somewhat new. Even when gray and yellow became color palette staples, I wasn’t completely sold. And to be honest, I am not sure what triggered the love affair. But whatever the cause, my love affair with all things yellow has been taken to an entirely new level thanks to this incredible wedding that the forever talented Courtney Caplan sent me… I mean come on. How stinking cute is this? The yellow (I am thinking J Crew) dresses paired with the khaki suits. The perfect flowers designed by who else but Petal Pushers in Austin. The adorable bride and gr... |
I have a wedding coming up in April that is tulips, tulips, tulips! The main color is eggplant purple and I will be using a range of purple tulips for the bouquets and centerpieces and a variety of purple and white flowers for the ceremony decor. Here is a bit of inspiration I am working from: Clockwise from top left: white hydrangea, dark purple tulip, lavender tulip, white snapdragon, lavender stock, smilax, purple lisianthus, variegated pittosporum, the color. Judging by these fabulous images from Stephanie Rhea Photography, I’d have to say this Mississippi bride more than succeeded in pulling off a wedding that oozed simple Southern elegance when she and her college sweetheart (and fellow Auburn U. alum!) said their I-Do's. Now we all known I’m the tuxedo’s #1 fan, but I really love that the groom and his attendants spiffed up their classic wedding day bests with white bowties. Ultra-formal, dashing and oh-so-Southern! Of course, Bailey’s Heidi Elnora gown is one of the most figure-flattering choices we’ve seen in awhile but the... |
Laura Lea + Tripp's South Carolina wedding took place in Laura Lea's family home complete with a wedding cake made by Laura Lea's grandmother. Friends from church helped with the decor and all of the preparations. This is what southern weddings are all about--family and community. The bride's bouquet was created by {Plant Peddler Flower Shoppe}. Reception catering by {Melaine Rowe Catering}. Thanks to {Blue Nalu Photography} for submitting these lovely photos. Check out more stunning shots on Blue Nalu's {Blog}. How did the two of you meet? Tripp and I both grew up in Rock ... |
Put a smile on those Monday Morning Faces LBBers because this bride has smiles for miles and we’re loving every minute of her happy, happy day. Seen through the lens of Forever Photography Studio (some of our favorites!) this wedding is perfectly chic, perfectly Texas, and perfectly purple. Seriously – it’s purple. We love when a color palette comes together so well, and purple is definitely the color of the day. Get your plum on in the full image gallery! And just because we all need a little more purple in our lives, here is the highlight film from The Wedding Theate... |
Today is a day that I have been looking forward to for SO long. My amazing brother-in-law and my adorable soon-to-be sister-in-law are tying the knot this weekend in Charleston, South Carolina and the entire Larson crew is here to celebrate. It’s my first time in Charleston and oh my goodness, I am in heaven. So in honor of this fun occasion, I’ve asked one of my all time favorite Charleston based vendors, Blue Moon Events, to send us one of their all time favorite weddings! Laura and Walt were married this past October at Trinity United Methodist Church, then held their reception at Lown... |
Inspired by organic texture, reminiscent of the tactile diversity in nature, material composition of burlap, sheet metal, and wood were used to create this rustic ode to romance. Emily Carter of Emily Carter Floral Design with Sharyn Peavey of Sharyn Peavey Photography combined these elements, against the pastoral setting of a barn amidst rolling green hills, as a design concept for this style shoot. For the ceremony panels of burlap were hung with circular cutouts to allow natural light to stream in and reflect off of metal flowers with yellow craspedia centers. Birch trees ... |
