I have a crazy busy day today but I just had to drop by to share this ridiculously amazing wedding venue and decor. The modern Shanghai theme was together by Lotus. I wouldn’t even want to speculate how much this bash cost but the result is pretty damn spectacular - the huge cake, the millions of lanterns, the field of flowers… The Bride Ita looked uber glamorous in the Vera Wang and actually got up at 2am to start getting ready…are you kidding me?! The poor photographers! I’m sure they forgave her when they saw the results though, what an amazing wedding to shoot. Catch you later my ... |
I’m totally in love with Jen + James’ wedding… I think you will be too… Don’t they look utterly fabulous? They had an equally fabulous wedding of old-fashioned Shanghai opulence at The Bell House in New York. With flowers by Saipua and exquisite film photographs by Robert Sukrachand… sigh, well, you know… we’re entirely honored and elated to share this masterpiece! Cindi and DavidI’m always enchanted by the melding of cultures together at wedding – the traditions which are centuries old add such a special flavour to a wedding. I love the vibe of Cindi and David’s Shanghai inspired wedding. In Cindi’s words “Our wedding in a sentence? 1920s Shanghai decadence meets cats, bunnies and DRUMS!” Doesn’t that sound like a wedding you want to be at?Cindi recalls how she and David met. “David and I first met on the “grassy knoll” at the Nathan Campus of Griffith University when we were both students there. I guess we were attracted to each o... |
Delicious candy colored confections over at Christian Dior Resort 2011 collection showcased in Shanghai. The collection is inspired by the French New Wave and features a lot of cool, classy pieces, and more dramatic, romantic numbers typical of John Galliano. Of course we have to put the big pink ballgown as the first picture! There are other bride-worthy pieces like these two beautiful, airy sheaths in white and milk tea. Adore the red long-sleeve maxi dress with jewel neckline and a sweet ribbon accenting the waist. To end, another big strapless gown, this time in purple. Vive la drama,... |

*** more of this collection here ***. . . always look forward to the dior shows, but with all this talk about diamonds, nearly forgot the resort collection {thanks, felicity!} and, as always, it was one not to be missed -- part imagination, part fantasy, and always a work of art, the resort part of the collection was le savoir faire français, with bardot-inspired hair, red lipstick and floaty fabrics, but by far the favourites were the couture pieces -- pure romance in the form of corseted lace dresses and grand ball gowns showered in embroidery, and dégradé silk organza that made everythi... |
