Before I even begin, let me just say that SMP Editor and one of my fav girls ever, Erin, is TOTALLY jealous of me right now. Because this next gorgeous fete just might be the real life version of her own wedding re-do. A sweet, So-Cal soiree complete with succulents tucked into each and every super chic corner…even adorning the perfect Sweet and Saucy cake. It’s almost as if the bride climbed right into Erin’s noggin and used every single one of her wedding obsessions, including the photography stylings of Jack Wittbold for Sarah Yates Photography. So from both Erin and myself, we are t... |
Sarah Yates happens to be one of my ALL TIME favorite photographers. Her work is so dreamy and magical and this next set of engagement photos is no exception. There are no balloons, no bicycles… just a handsome couple, fields for days and insane light. Farah and Izhat traveled all the way from Singapore to shoot their engagement session with Sarah and I think it was well worth the long flight. There is something about Sarah, Sarah Yates that is. She has a way of making everything look dreamy Mc Dreamy and oh so beautiful. Case in point: this Los Angeles engagement shoot which takes the equation Field + Adorable Couple + Sarah Yates and turns it into one stinkin’ gorgeous picture after another. Plus the lovely styling by Erin of Dandelion and Grey adds the perfect little touch of country picnic cuteness. We couldn’t think of a better way to start your “It’s ALMOST the weekend” work day. P.S. These images are best enjoyed with a steaming hot cup of coffee and a super comfy ... |
This absolutely adorable couple makes me smile. This sunny color combination makes me smile. Pretty much every single element of this sweet, sweet wedding makes me smile and the dreamy images from Sarah Yates combined with the styling from the ladies at Sitting in a Tree just add to that warm and fuzzy feeling. Held in Southern California, though steeped in Mexican tradition, this is one of those weddings that will definitely inspire wedding design from now until forever. {click here for more from this sweet day} A writer. A graphic designer. A rich Mexican heritage combined with a... |
Although I genuinely heart every wedding that we choose to feature on Style Me Pretty, I can honestly say that very few have inspired me in the way that this wedding has. Photographed stunningly by Sarah Yates (obsessed with her btw) and designed to perfection by Volare Events, this wedding is layer upon layer of gorgeousness. From the textures and the colors to the emotion and the pure joy…I literally see something new every time I pore through the photographs. If ever you were in a wedding slump, this is the PERFECT wedding pick-me-up. And although you may question the terms shabby chic, v... |
Only in California can you go from beach to ballroom without skipping a beat (OK maybe in Florida too). But none the less, this Santa Monica charmer is filled with loads of pink hues, adorable on-lookers in their bathing suits and sand in your toes beach views. A match made in seaside heaven otherwise known as Shutters on the Beach. Sarah Yates captured all the goods and this lady seriously gets it. She is like a ray of warm, happy sunshine bestowing us with all of her fabulous photographs. I may have just saved an image from this very wedding as my screensaver and I have a feeling there wil... |
I have been waiting for soooo long to devour every inch of this gorgeous wedding and it has fully lived up to my south of the border dreams. Tori, the ravishing bride, is half of the fab duo behind Sitting in a Tree Events so we knew before we ever laid eyes on this Sayulita beauty that it was going to be good – like pinch us, we’re in destination wedding dreamland kind of good. Sarah Yates was on site to capture all of the amazing hand-crafted details and so many dreamy moments. All in a days work for this rock star photographer. There seriously were far too many swoon-worthy bits so you ... |
We are over the moon, head over heels excited about this wedding photographed by Jack Wittbold for Sarah Yates Photography. It’s no secret that we have a mega crush on all things that Sarah shoots, and this wedding, shot exclusively by Jack (Sarah’s to die for darling assistant) is no exception. We’ve had our eye on Jack for a while, holding our breath to see what magic he would produce and he has exceeded all expectations. In fact, Jack may have even taken our breath away with all this sunshine-y glorious goodness. Truthfully, we’d like to move in and take up residence in this... |
The brilliant Sarah Yates, our darling friend and Southern California Junebug Member Photographer, recently shot this adorable engagement photo shoot, but instead of stopping there, she created a stop motion video with the images! Love this! Sarah, how in the world did you get so smart? ... |
