Photo from Style Guide Here is an easy way to make your tables pop without breaking the bank: tie large, fluffy ribbons in your wedding color around guests' plates. A bright color like pink looks best when paired with neutral white. Another great idea (from Style Guide): Tuck menus into napkins with only the top showing--which has each guest's individual name on it. It would take a lot of printing, but this would have a great effect!...

I love this photo from Brides.com of monogrammed programs on heavy card stock. But instead of using regular ribbon to tie your programs, if you are having a small wedding, save the extra pieces of your dress when you get it altered. Cut the fabric into strips and tie your programs with this. You could also roll your programs, then tie them. Or, if your mother will let you, use pieces of her old wedding dress! It would be a great way to incorporate it if she had her heart set on you wearing it....

I love these two colorful details in this wedding posted on Southern Weddings. Chocolate brown and teal is a great color combination, especially if used in conjunction with a fun pattern like polka dots--so creative! Love the simplicity of using a ribbon as a napkin ring and a ribbon to brighten up a dress....

  • I love using ribbon for well...everything! I use ribbon for simple accents such as trimming vessels, cake boards, apothecary jars, and custom display boxes. Sometimes I use ribbon to jazz up a tablecloth by creating a beautiful, custom border. I've even used ribbon to decorate the cake itself. So I'm always on the hunt for gorgeous and unique ribbon. A fave ribbon vendor of mine is Carta Inc. by Angela Ligouri. Her ribbon is made of 100% cotton and the texture is so lovely to look at and touch. Her italian-imported ribbon comes in tight weave and loose weave and 20 vibrant colors, an...

Ribbons are such a simple and easy way to dress up a wedding and they look beautiful. And remember the ribbon curtain my cousin is making for our wedding - it's done!  I feel I've already revealed so many of our homemade wedding projects so I don't want to show the whole thing but here is a sneak peek...Woohoo - can't wait to walk through it!And while I told myself I was putting a moratorium on anymore wedding projects I decided to make just a few ribbons wands for the little girls since we can't throw anything or even drop flower petals at our wedding venue (which we wouldn't have do...

  • Chair ribbons are a fun + easy way to dress up your wedding ceremony or reception chairs. Last week we featured an Alice in Wonderland themed wedding with chair ribbons + hanging mirrors that knocked our socks off. It was such a fun idea that inspired me to go knee-deep in search of ribbon inspiration… and, holy wow, talk about a full-fledged ribbon phenomenon! In fact, not only did I discover tons of chair ribbons but also programs with multi-colored ribbon bindings, ribbon wands in lieu of flower girl petals, wall decor with ribbons, ribbon garland, and more. I love this trend because...
