In honor of next week's 3G iPhone release (I am really excited to finally upgrade from my regular old phone), I wanted to share this story I found about a technologically-advanced proposal. The groom created his own iPhone commercial, complete with the words "Will You Marry Me?" across the phone's screen. He used the phone's features to show photos of himself with his bride-to-be, and clicked on the Safari internet browser to pull up a Tiffany & Co. website with a diamond engagement ring. I've got to say, this is one creative proposal--she must have bee... |
Pictured above: my preferred form of communication circa 1988 and present day. {I had a red phone just like this one in the 1980s; I WISH I had an iPad today} I have an iphone, which is nearly always turned off, out of batteries, in the car (while I am elsewhere) or lost in the depths of a tote bag (with the ringer turned off). If you are a close friend or family member and haven’t heard from me in the past year (or 5) you’re not alone. Confession: I positively hate calling people and only tolerate chatting on the phone when they call me. I will close-to-never pick up the phone to call you... |

I live in NY and my wedding is in Newport RI. So the two ways I usually communicate with wedding vendors are phone and email. But I prefer email over phone for a few reasons. Image from The Moxie Mash Whenever I think of something to tell or ask a vendor, I feel like I’m less intrusive when I just email them and they can respond to me whenever they can. Unless of course I need an answer right away, then I call. I am able to gather my thoughts better in an email. Sometimes I forget things I need to say over the phone. I can proofread what I wrote in an email and make sure I said t... |
I walk around with a camera in my purse. In fact, most of us walk around with cameras in our pockets, cars, or clipped to the side of your jeans. Yeah, I just went THERE. I love the notion of being able to shoot my life in split seconds and carry mementos of my day. I was scrolling through a few photos this morning on my phone and I came across the following photos. Of my life. With my camera phone... Here's Mr. Adorable cruising at sunset...he gets all the ladies...Here are a set of chairs that made me laugh. I mean, what if you came to my house and you saw me and JD sitting in these ... |
unless you've been living under a rock for the past few weeks you've undoubtedly heard of the iPhone. unfortunately i've been sick at home for the past few days so i wasn't able to indulge my inner nerd and go camp out at the apple store for the big friday release :( however, i did manage to stumble over to our local AT&T store yesterday and pick up a shiny new 8GB iPhone! after a day of playing around with this sexy little gizmo i would definitely say that the insane amount of hype was well deserved! once i got home, i had activated the phone through itunes within five minut... |
Chris’s wife contacted us and asked us to make this iPhone cake to celebrate her husbands 35th birthday. The application icons on the cake were customized to match his own iPhone setup. The entire cake was chocolate with oreos and cream buttercream and was delivered to Blue Water Grill in Union Square NYC. I just wanted to let you know that you did a magnificent job with my husband’s iPhone cake for his 35th birthday. The attention to detail was astounding. The cake actually tasted as good as it looked which is a rarity. Warm regards, Lezli ... |
via hereAbout two months ago I traded my spiffy Blackberry with its delightful internet and email capabilities for my father in law's old cellular device. It's a little scratched up - but it's a great green color - and has a full qwerty keyboard. :-)I'm downgrading at a time when it seems like the world is upgrading. Even my patients at the free medicaid clinic have sweet iPhones...all the high school kids on the subway in NYC had fancy phones...and I swear I saw children in Central Park with bedazzled Blackberry's. Interesting. We are trying, so desperately, to embrac... |
