Nancy + Ed had a truly epic wedding to end our 2009 wedding season! We really felt like we connected like old friends since the meeting all the way through the afterparty. It’s a union between Korean, Mexican, and Chinese culture all in one giant celebration with the bridal party karaoke, hip-hop dance routine, and …..wait for it…… a floating cake! We had the pleasure of working with an all-star team of vendors and it was a great way to finish the year. KC and Garth wed at Pelican Hill in Newport Beach. The happy couple wanted a zen, Asian inspired wedding, while still keeping it light and airy as it was a beach wedding. And the pair enlisted planner Brooke Keegan of Brooke Keegan Weddings & Events to bring the magic to life. I love it when a couple takes a few moments to be together, take photos, really take in the moment, and even exchange wedding day gifts in person. Look at what the camera captures when you give yourself time on the wedding day to enjoy each other. {All images by True Photography} KC and Garth had known each... |
Imagine the look on Heather, of Amorology‘s face when Nikki, our bride, told her they wanted the theme of their wedding to incorporate fish and dogs. Not just that. It had to be done elegantly. Really, what does one do with that? When you’re Heather, you take that idea and run with it! First, the color palette was determined – coral would be an accent color, creams and browns as neutrals, fish scales and wood as patterns, and kraft paper and twine used as basic supplies. From there, the most adorable and creative wedding was born (fish and dogs included)! If anyone is allowe... |
Their love story started on a winter's night. A snow storm hung over the Boston skyline and students holed up with friends for the night. Jimmy fell asleep on Catherine's dorm room floor, which later turned into nights of Scrabble and him copying her homework. And love. That snowy night in Massachusetts morphed into blue skies along the Newport Beach coast at Pelican Hill Resort. Twelve years of Scrabble, In-n-Out, Jimmy's distain of chop suey, life in Hong Kong, and financial sectors. Twelve years to say I Do. And they did. In front of childhood friends and family, they promised to ne... |
Their friends said they didn't have pet names for it each other. It was only ever Lance and Clarissa, or Ria if you're close. Her maid of honor had never seen them kiss until the wedding day, although she was sure they had in the past since they'd been together for almost eight years. The sight of them pressing their lips against each other was raw and open. His best man said Lance takes care of those he loves in quiet, but confident ways. They compliment each other in the most assured and protective ways. But things happened if you looked closely. The way he touched her hand--sweetly, ... |
This affair sent to us by the wedding pros at Details Details is completely elegant, glamorous, and just down right pretty. The gorgeous setting and jaw-dropping flowers would be enough to make us swoon, but the exquisite invites and the stunning tabletops put us over the edge. We had to share. The Resort at Pelican Hill was an idyllic setting for this couple’s sophisticated summer nuptials. Amy and Michael recruited the uber talented ladies at Details Details and White Lilac Inc, to transform their vision of an elegant beach wedding into a modern, romantic event. Mission accomplished. The bridal suite at Pelican Hill was covered with wedding details and pink accoutrements, like bags, boxes, and frilly lace. Michele was, after years of dating her dream date, marrying the man of her dreams. Her bridesmaids floated from room to room always making sure a glass of champagne was ready to be hoisted for any moment's toast to the good life. With the iPod perfectly set to Lady Gaga, the entire room raised and clinked crystal glasses in honor of a perfect wedding day. After moving a few pink boxes out of the way and finishing her champagne, Michele exited the bridal suite and col... |
It was a common theme throughout the day: They were meant to be. And while it could be said of almost any couple on their wedding day, it was different for Christina and Chris. That's what their friends and family said, insisted, and toasted to. Their belief in their unadulterated love was staggering and their day was filled with support and love. They met in high school and Christina's mom had a soft spot for Chris. Christina's mom saw his heart of gold...and later told her daughter he was handsome. On the inside. Christina listened to her mother's advice and later realized--like much... |
You just might be speechless after this next wedding by Mike Colón Photographers and, believe you me, I completely understand. With a breathtaking ceremony overflowing with gorgeous blooms by Enchanted Florist and a glamorous ballroom reception filled with warm candlelight, it’s one jaw-dropping moment after another in this traditional California soiree coordinated by Gail Garceau. And don’t even get me started on the bride’s custom gown. Love. Yes, there’s a whole lot of pretty coming your way, so join me in the gallery for even more! Click here to see the entire gallery... |
We’ve photographed so many beautiful weddings this year, and sadly we haven’t shared nearly enough with you! So while we play catch up, here is a sneak peek from Yuki & Fred’s Pelican Hill wedding! This couple met during a bomb scare at LAX, if that isn’t fate I don’t know what is! Stay tuned for more sneak peeks! ... |
