I love the modern twist on the distinctly Victorian styling of this shoot. Layered vintage fabrics, corsets and handmade jewellery have all been offset by different shades of modern red in the makeup and styling. The shoot took place at an old historic train station which, with it’s unique detailing really brought the theme together. Thanks to photographer Shannon and everyone involved with this shoot for sharing these today ... |

This wedding was hot off the press! Cecilia and Scott Kopchinsky led the pack as the hottest of 2012 as they reinvented the fan bouquet. The fan bouquet was the wedding craze of the Victorian Era. Only the wedding queens of 2012 could revive a two century old style. Although with a lot of creativity and love the wedding took place at the beautiful and historic Thursday Club in Point Loma. Built in 1928, The Thursday Club is known for being one of San Diego’s beautiful and historical landmarks. Filed under: Fashion, Alternative Weddings, Receptions, Wedding Lore/Traditions For a gorgeous themed-wedding, go Victorian. It's making a huge come-back and is sexier than any Victorian bride ever was. The Victorian bride of the 19th century was sweetly demure but the 21st century version incorporates romance, nostalgia and voluptuousness like never before. In keeping with a traditional Victorian wedding you could either have a late morning wedding followed by a breakfast of light finger foods, or an afternoon tea, with cakes, sandwiches and tea, or (and this is fabulous for a winter wedding) ... |

On my first day at Invitation Consultants, I was exploring the website and I fell in love with this invitation. What's strange about that is it is the total opposite of my style. Roses are my least favorite flower, burgundy is my least favorite color, and I really hate gold foil. Somehow, this vintage inspired invitation with all of those elements has remained one of my favorites. Here's a little bit of Victorian inspiration based on it. From left to right: Victorian Garden, Vintage Tea Cup Candle, a wedding cake from an inspiration board from my own wedding two years ago. ... |
How cute are these...I am adoring these Victorian Tumblers from Pottery Barn! They come in sets of 6, and in the color of your choice! I think these would be perfect at a bridal shower or bridemaids luncheon. You could mix colors or keep to one, either way they would be so pretty.~ Ciao... |
