I do love autumn, contrasting colors, Mickey and Minnie, candlelight, and getting straight to the point! Isn’t this adorable? I fell in love with the fanciful message, writ large across the table. But then I noticed the details. Minnie and her Man on the top. The beautifully piped scroll work without a bobble in sight. The autumn leaves and lighting. And those candles. Wouldn’t you love to see them lit? So…on a day when my hands are stiff with the chill in the air as I write, it’s nice to see a picture of warmth to make me smile. The blessing is in the details. My, if we were Mickey and Minnie Mouse, we'd be covering our eyes too! That kiss is kinda x-rated! Having Disney characters serve as both your wedding party and cake toppers? Quirky! Getting down and dirty in front of Disneyland's First Couple? Kinda messed up. Bridezilla Bonus Tip: Keep the fairytale fantasies in the castle! ... |
Today on the blog, we’re getting an extra dose of adorable. And moreover, we’re seeing adorable done right, which is even better. Check out this absolutely precious cake. This four-tiered beauty was the star of the show at Melissa and Heath’s wedding, which took place in 2006. The couple had never been to Disney before going together while they were dating…and they were instantly hooked on the magic. They even considered getting married at Walt Disney World, but opted for a hometown wedding, and a cake that served as an homage to their favorite vacay destination. The four-tiere... |
Not many things cuter than the classic cartoon, Minnie Mouse! We LOVE all of the darling details from this party– from the Minnie ears to polka dot trim– such a CUTE theme! One of the best things about this party is that all of the activities could be held inside our out… making it a great party for any time of year! Jen from Passion for Parties tells us all about her niece’s 5th birthday bash: Last weekend we celebrated my niece’s 5th birthday with a “Minnie Mouse Goes on a Picnic” party. The rain chased our picnic inside but we managed to bri... |
In case you didn’t know Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom Park celebrated its 40th birthday on Saturday, October 1st. It’s no secret that we kind of sort of LOVE Disney World around here. While I couldn’t be there to celebrate I sat at home and threw dirty looks in the direction of all the tweets I was reading from friends who were visiting the parks that day. I decided to honor the most magical place on earth in my own little way… …By featuring these adorable Mickey Mouse cupcakes. Erica from Sweet Tooth Blog created her own Mickey inspired cupcake ... |

We have had an overwhelming response to Kate's Minnie Mouse Party, thank you all for your sweet comments! Many people have been asking what we did for the invitation, so I decided to post a picture for everyone. For the full Minnie Mouse party post, click here...I have said this many times before, but Paper Source is fabulous for all of your invite and paper needs. We purchased the pink polka dot paper at a local scrapbooking store. The zebra print invite was a creative find down the wedding aisle at Michael's. The zebra invites are actually part of their bachelorette party line! But they ... |
This post is very personal to me, this little girl is very important to me. I have shared her baby shower and her first birthday with you all... so it only seems natural to share her 2nd birthday party. She is my Kate, seeing her little face makes my heart smile. She is a special little girl bubbling with warmth and personality. She is a beautiful little soul who makes me count my blessings and thank the Lord above everyday for bringing her into our lives. Ok, now onto the photos of her "Nouse" birthday party. I am not into the traditional, party store, cookie cutter character parties. But my ... |
Filed under: Fashion, Bridal BeautyThe traditional sample size for designers to send bridal boutiques is a size 10, which in bridal actual translates to a size 6 or 8. Not the most encouraging sight for a plus size woman. Fortunately, a lot of designers have picked up on the fact that women over a size 14 don't necessarily want to wear a big, lacy, satin catastrophe, and are designing plus size gowns with a lot of style. However, if you're still not crazy about the idea of shopping for your gown in a store, a try shopping online with Igigi. The bridal gowns are more on the informal side, but be... |
