We are hard at work finding fantastic new Adelaidians, because South Australia really does not get enough love on Polka Dot Bride! Well today we plan to start rectifying it with Adelaide based designer Alexis George. What I love about these designs is there is such a difference in each one. The designs are varied- from dramatic red floor length evening gowns, to soft fifties puffball dresses. Each dress is so different, so intricate and has an essence of haute couture and glamour. Brooke and George I am so thrilled to bring you today’s wedding, the beautiful plaid details had me from the word go! Today’s Seattle wedding is the wedding of Brooke and George. Brooke and George met through their friends from high school, Jeff and Michelle. Everyone was home from college during the summer of 2005, and Michelle wanted Brooke to meet her new boyfriend from college, Jeff who lived an hour north in Seattle. Brooke and Michelle went to Seattle and Jeff was hanging out with all of his friends, one of which was George. They hit it off immediately, and dated off and on th... |
I was so excited that my sweet friend Max from Sun in My Belly referred me to Lindsey & George. They got married at the lovely Sacred Heart Catholic Church this past December. We used lots of white anemones, black magic roses, berries, red ranunculus, big burgundy peonies, and branches to create a 'wintery' feel without it feeling too 'holiday-ish.' Daria from Circle of Love Weddings coordinated the entire day beautifully. Everyone headed over to Magnolia Hall at Piedmont Park for a super fun reception. Scott Chester took these beautiful photographs, Max from Sun in My Belly served his aw... |
Not exactly a baby picture, but it IS a great shot and totally makes me smile! This is my grandfather, George, the most hilarious man I've ever known! This is him in 1929, all dressed up in swanky cowboy style! I'm pretty sure that I will be framing this print for my little girl's room too - it's too precious not to. I wish we would have written down all the stories he used to tell about growing up in South Dakota - fascinating stuff - he always told the best stories. Now, my lovely Grandfather has Alzheimer's, a disease that is terribly frustrating for the ... |

Kate + George tied the knot amongst an intimate group of friends and family at the eclectic Parker Palm Springs. For these two, this was a destination wedding as they currently reside in Portland, Oregon and Kate is originally from Australia and George from Scotland. George asked Kate for her hand in marriage at the Parker some time ago. Close to their heart, they decided to exchange vows at this very place. All their guests traveled far to be part of this union and being with this close-knit group meant a great deal to them. They were anxious to celebrate with each and every one of them. In ... |
1 Person Loves This! Good morning from Huntington Beach, California everyone! This week’s West Coast Wednesday Video Of The Week is a double feature for you. I have one song, by two very different artists. BUT! What’s very unique about each one is that although they’re on different ends of the “musical graph of style” – they’re very similar in the controversial arena. First, there’s Limp Bizkit. Now this is a band that was seriously out there breaking down all sorts of barriers when they came out. Fred Durst & company rocked arenas at all corners of the e... |
