I've talked before about how one of my big dreams is to become a flower farmer and I used to own a flower shop (if you didn't know). So I was really excited when my blog friends, Stephanie and Jane brought Marigold and Mint to my attention. It's an organic flower shop in Seattle. Their flowers are sourced from their own organic farm as well as others in the area. It looks super lovely and the website design is charming. This is a must-see on my next trip to Seattle!...

  • I love the colour combination of yellow and grey for weddings – but being particularly inspired by the bouquet in the top left, I added in some fuchsia for this fun yet formal wedding. I envisage a beautiful ballroom with elegant, modern curtains and chairs. Simply beautiful stationery, a modern cake touched in shades of yellow and marigold, fuchsia wedding shoes and a yellow taxi cab to whisk the newlyweds away while their guests enjoy frozen icy treats.bouquet photo by Evoke Photography via Love & Splendor via Hello Bella Events via Merriment Events Pinterest, wedding cake from Martha ...

I’m not quite sure if this color is marigold. I’m sorry all you crazy pantone people. But I just didn’t feel like saying ORANGE. This isn’t orange…it is a softer sort of marigold orange, okay? Anyhow. Happy Tuesday. More good stuff to come today, but I think this gets us off to a great start! Sources left to right from top: 1. Etsy 2. Amsale 3. Martha Stewart via Toast and Tables 4. Oh the maids!  Those beauties who frame the bride and accent her beauty.  Oh the dresses they’ve been shoved in to!  We’re here to redeem that.  Look at the wealth of color found in these dresses!  My favorites are the two dresses from JCrew (also featured recently by Lucky Designs) and the Dior (break the budget!) and the Priscillas.  Really, I love all of them! Top Row: JCrew, Priscilla of Boston, Dior (via Eluxury) Bottom Row: Simple Dress, JCrew, Priscilla of Boston The accessories are a great place to add orange and marigold if you only want a slight punch of the bright colors....
