We loved hearing about the super-fun details y'all have planned! Now it's up to our readers to decide which lucky couple will win this amazing prize. Introducing our three finalists, in no particular order: Finalists No. 1: Bonnie + Brent (June ... |
Goodness gracious! You guys never cease to amaze me. Literally thousands of votes were cast for three amazing finalists. Of course, we think Ms. Maile Lani is a stupendous photographer, and these thousands of votes show that you obviously agree. It was a tough race and the tally was close, but the time has come to introduce you to the winners of this great prize package. After many hours counting (and recounting and recounting and recounting) votes, we are proud to announce Bonnie and Brent as the winning couple! Their wedding plan is full of Southern charm: "I (Bonnie) grew up on a sma... |
The dog days of summer are here and in North Carolina that means it's time for running through sprinklers and guzzling lemonade... that is, only if you're brave enough to actually go outdoors in pure humidity. In the many mid-day hours where it is just too hot, I've been on my trusty MacBook obsessing over today's giveaway. Why? Today we're bringing you a fabulous wedding day photography giveaway from Maile Lani! Feast your eyes on a few of her beautiful images... Like the best Southern events, this beach wedding was the product of an entire family’s hard work. Bonnie + Brent took advantage of their surroundings and had their guests sit on quilts that were made by generations of women in Bonnie’s family. Guests sat family-to-a-quilt and watched as Bonnie, looking cool and relaxed in her Wtoo by Watters dress, meet her barefooted hubby on the shore of Hutchinson Island. I’m crazy for the slightly boho headband Bonnie made and wore and her fluffy peony bouquet by Rainbow Gardens. And see that fabric bouquet? It’s the handiwork of the bride! Don’... |
Oh y’all! We’re always on board for a great giveaway, but this one has got us over-the-moon excited! One of the most common things brides tell us was worth splurging for is a great photographer. We all know that nothing could replace the images from your big day, and finding a photographer you love is so important. ... |
And we’re back with more beachy goodness from Maile Lani! Bonnie + Brent’s Florida wedding feels so organic and comfortable, with details that feel festive without being fussy. The raw fabric bunting, mason jar candles and wildflowers I love all of it! Bonnie was a DIY bride all the way, making the bunting and table runners and painting the corn hold boards, among other details. The bride’s amazing momma and granny also pitched in to make four wedding cakes for the newlyweds. This family-spun wedding was the perfect way to celebrate with the couple’s closest family and friends. See a... |
I might need help with this wedding. Every time I sit down to introduce it, my mind starts swirling in a pretty New Orleans-induced haze, filled with beautiful cotton bouquets, stunning historic churches, big brass bands, cookies and milk, soft candlelight, natural (and gorgeous) decor elements… You see, this is the problem. The images from Maile Lani Photography set my soiree-adoring mind swimming in romantic Southern details, and not a coherent word is to be found! I simply must leave you with the gallery, so I’m not the only one muttering about the gorgeous that is this wedding.... |
We’re back with a fun wedding from Maile Lani! I absolutely love that Lane decided to include floral elements that had sentimental meaning to her. The succulents that dressed the reception tables were a nod to the summer she met Dan and the raw cotton that appeared interspersed throughout the wedding was a little tribute to her family, who farmed the crop for generations. Lane and her dream team of friends and family pulled all the flowers together themselves (and even pulled some from their neighbor’s yard!) and filled the wedding with their succulent creations. The newlyweds served up so... |
If porch-front ceremonies are becoming a “trend” in Southern weddings, then sign us up! (We’ve featured two fairly recently check out Andrea + Tres’ here!) Lane wore a gorgeous Pronovias gown for her marriage to Dan, while her bridesmaids donned J. Crew dresses. Speaking of bridesmaids, I loved what Lane had to say about what was Southern about her wedding: read on to hear all about her incredible group of family + friends, and how they pulled off such a beautiful wedding! We’ll be back soon with more succulent goodness from Maile Lani! How did you meet? Tell us your ... |
