Off we went, mother and second daughter, for our first night of trying on wedding gowns. We both fell in love with this masterpiece by Maggie Sottero called Celestina. We loved the corset bodice and how the tulle gently accents the sweetheart neckline. The chapel train is embellished with Swarovski crystals, bugle beads, seed beads and sequins. The gown in this salon had been tried on many times, was priced $795 (“as is”) but we later found it online for about $300 less.Images by Maggie Sottero ...

Maggie Sottero, you’ve just bowled me over. The search can end here. It’s just too lovely. But then, of course, there’s the veil. Which has gone and made matters much worse. The hint of beading at the waist not only adds a bit of sparkle—it also flatters the figure. It's not easy! Sometimes a strapless just won't do. What if you need a supportive bra? With cap sleeves and a V-neckline you get some coverage - without feeling too covered up.The Rosa is a slim A-line gown with an asymmetrical bodice highlighted with lace. Note that the cap sleeves, while lovely, are embellished and will draw attention to your shoulders and upper arms. If you don't like the way your upper...

Imagine my surprise when leisurely browsing through Kat’s Thursday Treats on www.rocknrollbride.com to get to the cracker at the bottom of the post and see that we have been featured on the Sottero & Midgley website. Kat’s wedding story quote: “When I first started looking for my wedding dress I hated every minute of it. Nothing I tried on felt right or like me. Then I discovered Sottero & Midgley and finally I felt I’d found dresses made for me! The cut of every dress was beautiful and fit like a glove. I actually narrowed it down to two dresses but went for this one in the ...
