I really love this colour combination; isn't it just the perfect mix of Classic + Mod? Navy has always been one of my go-to colours and wardrobe staples; however, it's only recently caught my eye in wedding colour palettes. This SoCal wedding pairs navy with cream, burlap, and pops of lime, setting the tone for the perfect end-of-summer fiesta. The bridal party's bouquets are simply gorgeous and I really love the burlap + lace runner. (See more details, here). What is your favourite colour palette these days, wedding or otherwise? Do you find that you often return to the same combinations (in ... |

I got bored with cooking about two years ago, but that was before I discovered the curry leaf and Madhur Jaffrey's World Vegetarian. Oh the curry leaf, what a magical food stuff, what a delicious flavouring, what a delightful ingredient. Food has never tasted so good.We have now replaced the tomato sauce and brown rice that we have been eating pretty much every day for two years with tomato sambal and Sri Lankan yellow rice, a similar but far more interesting and delicious meal. For now. Perha... |

Who’s best placed to talk about wedding color trends for 2010? The wedding vendors who are already knee deep in outfitting the upcoming weddings of 2010, of course! Curious, I had a gander at My Personal Artist’s trend watch for the spring and summer of this year, and found both aqua blue and lime green on the list. My first thought was let’s put them together! Here’s the result: Paired with brown detailing and tiny rhinestones, aqua and lime wedding invitations can be beachy but don’t have to be. This is a fun palette that maintains its elegance when you, say, leave the sea stars o... |

Hope everyone had a great holiday weekend! Here’s one of the treats we indulged in after our BBQ yesterday… Margarita Cupcakes! I went for the “shortcut” route and modified a recipe that utilizes boxed cake mix as the foundation instead of doing everything from scratch (it was a holiday, after all!).
