Looking for a truly unique wedding cake topper? We spotted this oh-so-fun cake topper via Bow Ties & Bliss (photography by Renaissance Studios). Princess Cruises is probably one of the most famous brand of cruise ships around. If you don't know Princess then chances are really good you know it's alter ego The Love Boat. The 1970's hit television show Love Boat sparked a renewed interest in cruising that is still going strong. Maybe it's my age; but this morning I was pleased to discover an article on World Tourism News that brought back fond childhood memories. Australian native Ryan McNaught has built a replica of the original Love Boat out of LEGO. It measures 10.5 feet long and nearly 5 feet high. It's made from more than 250,000 LE... |

Lately my Inspiration Mondays have been inspired by my son...today is no different. This evening we were playing with my Lego blocks that are almost 30 years old. I finally took it out of storage and gave it to him. These multi-colored blocks are my muse for today and I thought I would do a wedding based on Lego. Filed under: Cakes and Catering, Alternative Weddings, Keeping the Memory I like Lego. Mostly. With my two sons, I have spent hours and hours building helicopters, ambulances, dinosaurs, houses, UFO's., policemen, cars, buses, fighterplanes.... any and every kind of object that has grabbed their imagination. Bless Lego - it's saved my sanity on many a rainy Saturday.I have, however, also cursed loudly when I've unwittingly stepped on a discarded Lego piece during a midnight bathroom trip. Ever done that? It hurts like blazes. (That's when I don't like Lego.)Now here's another reason to love Le... |
