Comforting, fragrant, delicate . . . Lavender is such a charming little bloom. Both beautiful and therapeutic, it offers up a distinctly intoxicating aroma from its first, fresh bloom, to its last dried seeds. We are quite spoiled in Santa Barbara where this treasured flower thrives and grows wild in fields of purple-blue splendor. We think it’s the perfect addition to any Santa Barbara wedding. One of my very very favorite things is lavender. (I can’t believe I haven’t shared this yet)! It all started when I ate the most blissful lemon lavender scone at a café one day. Ever since then, I can’t get enough. I love the way it smells, tastes… the look of the beautiful tiny flowers… the color… everything. There are so many fun ways to incorporate the rustic look and aromatic essence of this herb into a wedding. Here’s a round up of some ideas!1. Hand-tied bunches 2.
