If you’ve never been to a Jewish wedding, these beautiful celebrations are filled with traditions that create meaningful links between past, present and future. While you are probably familiar with some of these traditions, such as the breaking of the glass, you might wonder what the ketubah is? Or what exactly is a chuppah? The chuppah is supported by four poles and is often decorated with florals. The Ketubah Th... |

The Hora If you’ve ever been to a Jewish wedding, you’ve no doubt seen a cheerful dance called the Hora. I was clicking through a bunch of wedding-related links and came upon New Ketubah. For those of you who are not familiar with the tradition, the ketubah is a written statement of commitment to each other and to the couple’s faith. More traditional ketubahs can also outline the terms of the marriage in the same way a ... |
