A wedding ceremony is an event that you have to recall with pleasure as the time passes. So, when it comes to planning your own, don’t limit yourself with something traditional. You don’t have to be afraid of revealing your personality through the wedding. If from the bottom of your heart you’re a rebel, a “hippie”, don’t be afraid of including flower-power elements in the theme of your wedding. The first step consists in choosing the wedding dress. Many vintage stores have dresses from the 60s or 70s that can be transformed with success in wedding gowns. Another option is to go ...

Reader Request time, again! I am sure you hear this all of the time, but I am a broke ass bride in need of your help.  A little background: my fiance and I have two year old twin girls and have decided it is time to officially tie the knot.  We are both hippies at heart and have decided to have our wedding at the ski resort where we first met.  It is a beautiful mountain venue and “earthy” just like us.  The decor will be minimal, just some flowers and such, but I am having a hard time deciding on a dress.  I love all of the pirate/hippie style ones you have previously posted, but I a...

  • CONFESSION: I spend my entire high school career in bell bottoms. And no, I wasn’t born in the 70’s. Yep, I had completely missed the hippie movement but by the time my budding adolescent sense of style came to fruition, I was completely obsessed with the vintage 70’s look.  I was wearing polyester 90% of my life – and loving it! I’ve always loved Nicole Richie’s style and, in my opinion, she is the ultimate boho-chic girl, so a lot of my inspiration as far as hippie style comes from her. If you’re looking for 1960’s-esque jewelry, you should check out the collection she designed, House of Harlow, named after her daughter. Maybe I’m so into happy sunny weddings lately because it’s been all grey and rainy here in Los Angeles. Someone send us some more sunshine, please! Anyways, on with the hippie-chic wedding inspiration! ...
