Happy Monday! For most of our readers it is Thanksgiving week so happy holiday week to all of you as well. Our first Real Wedding was sent to us by the ever so talented Harrison Studio located in Michigan. This creek side wedding took place in Missoula, Montana. The entire wedding was planned in 5 weeks. The original venue was supposed to be in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. But, due to the swine flu a change of plans was in order. As you can see from the super cute invite below. Not too shabby for such short notice, right? Harrison Studio Photography tel: 616.855.6436 web: www.harrison... |
Both Michelle and Brad love green and brown, so this color combo was a no-brainer.... |
The light was so nice in my studio this past week, especially around sunset. I am so happy summer is upon us. I love the blue light of winter, but this light suits me & my work so much better! I acquired the furniture cabinet from Letterpress Things. A great find that is helping me feel a bit more organized! The cut fabric print is by the Multi Polar Project from Little Paper Planes. The saying could not be more true, especially when I am turning the fly wheel for hours on end. And finally, the voice that keeps me company into the wee hours of the night, Ira Glass. He watc... |
Why hello there. That was a bit of impromptu "break" from posting {although, I have been quite active on the wedding blog...what can I say?}. I have been living in the studio as of late. Rich has been busy working on his "man room" which happens to be right next to my studio, so I have enjoyed the company even if he is hammering away & I am printing. I have had a few late nights where I get so lazy I wish there was a couch in aforementioned man room so I would not have to walk up the stairs to bed...eventually. Above are some gorgeous invitations I recen... |
Ever wonder where all the magic happens? Whether it's the showroom where they present their gowns, or the sewing table where they construct them, it's always a treat to see the spaces that our designers call "home". We're so glad to have had the chance to spend time in all of them during our trip to NYC! [The hallway and showroom at Lela Rose] [A sewing table and a tall order at Anna Maier/Ulla~Maija] [The Hitched Gals with Judd Waddell at his NYC studio] [The beautiful new Modern Trousseau showroom] We can't wait to revisit these places in October!... |

Happy Engagement Wednesday! Today, I thought I’d start us off with something completely different from what you are used to seeing. Connie and Stewart decided to go into the studio for their engagement session. WHAT??? No field? I know. totally crazy, but super awesome. The high fashion concept works perfectly for their personalities and I just can’t get enough of these dark, moody, sleek, modern images shot by D. Park Photography. What do you guys think? Would you ever consider going into the studio? ... |
