I finally found what I would like to do to my hair for our wedding, courtesy of The Knot. I’m hoping this can be done to my hair since I have very thin, fine hair but I have found a pretty awesome hairstylist in Gonzales so I’m confident she can get it pretty close. I think it will go well with the hair comb I picked out. We shall see at the trial!... |
As promised, here is my Wedding Day Hair post:Take away the feathers and I love this timeless up-do. However, as I plan to wear a finger-tip length veil, I'm not sure I could pull off both.If you were to pin up the rest of Jamie Lynn's hair, I'd love this look for a wedding. And here's my absolute favorite look (found on Snippet & Ink) - so unfussy, straightforward, glamorous and simple. Dear ESB, I have long, thick, heavy hair. And by long, I mean like I have to ensure it doesn't fall in the loo when I take a wee. I usually wear it down, or piled high in a messy rat's nest bun on the top of my head, held together by three, yes, three elastics. Problem is, I want to look somewhat less like a hobo, and more like a sexy biatch for my wedding. I went for a hair trial (ugh) on the weekend, and got them to do something like this. Looked great... for about an hour, then it lost all its volume with the weight of my hair, and turned into a saggy mess that looked worse than m... |
One Love PhotoRemember my hair style "trial run" disaster? Thankfully, I found out that I needed a different hair stylist for my wedding. I toyed around with the idea of doing it myself...of just wearing it down and curly...or in a curly ponytail. BUT. I wanted something special...and I was advised to wear it up (due to the potentially WINDY conditions on the mountaintop...thank goodness I did because it DID get windy!!)I went to an adorable little local salon, Ciao Bella...and the stylist, Rischa, opened the salon specially for me (they are typically closed on Sunday!)... |
So, I was at the hairdresser on Saturday morning and whilst flicking through a pile of mags (as you do when you're getting your mane groomed) I came across this gorgeous hairstyle and thought it'd be perfect for a summer bride. It's a gorgeous style on its own but if you added some pretty flowers it would be super duper specky. I'm all for a braid or two! Excuse the quality of the pic...!!Posted by Emilie Harrison... |
I have never been very good at hair and in fact often procrastinate hair cuts forever! I can never find a hair stylist I like, so I don't get very excited about the prospect. However, I am itching for a change. I went and looked at all the hair ideas and tutorials I posted on Babble, for some inspiration. I thought I'd share them here, too. How you wear your hair makes a big difference in completing a wedding day look. There are a lot of things that people consider. For example, the formality of the event, the neckline and shape of the wedding dress, and the most important factor… what kind of hair looks good on you. I love the look of a low chignon because it looks formal without being stuffy, and with your hair up you don’t have to worry about it getting tangled in the wind or while you’re working the dance floor. In any case, I’m sure there are tons of things to consider… so make sure to look for inspiration in PW’... |

I absolutely LOVED my hair on our wedding day. I knew I wanted it to be up and out of my face, as we were having an outdoor wedding ceremony and didn’t want wind or heat to affect it in 10 minutes. My hair is naturally curly around my hair line – and it gets even curlier with heat, so I needed to figure out a look that combined an up do with curled hair. These are not the exact photos I used for inspiration but close. Photo Credit: moutonsalon.com I loved the messy look of a bun and a lot of strands, but my hair stylist told me in the trial session that messy hair is great during the c... |
