I don't know why this is, but I don't think I've ever posted about guestbooks in all 772 posts I've written on this blog. Huh! These caught my eye because of the gorgeous patterns and affordable prices. They can also be customized to fit your event, size preference and pattern choice. I guess there's a first time for everything! Check out Enji Beck for the deets....

  • I wrote previously in G Is For Guestbook entry (have you read it yet? brush up because the next round of ABCs is coming soon!) and That Painted Guestbook entry about the myriad of options available to collect well wishes from your loved ones. Cathrin of Cathrin D’Entremont Weddings emailed me some lovely new ideas which I hadn’t come across. Have your guests sign rocks or stones, these could be placed in your garden or a vase or pot after the wedding. Would be a great choice for a rustic feel wedding Photo by Ira Lippke Studios I love this one, guests used an ink pad, their fingers and ...

I am terrible at group signings of anything (i.e. get well cards, happy bdays cards, and guestbooks). It will take me 1/2 an hour to come up with the same generic sentences as everyone else. When it came to our guestbook, I didn’t want to put that same pressure on all our guests to come up a perfect sentence. I thought by combining our faux-photobooth with the guestbook, we would end up with a keepsake that we would actually look at again. My plan is to put the ‘guestbook’ table next to the photobooth area with an adhesive.  There will be a sign encouraging our guests to stick their p...

If you stop to think about what a wedding guestbook is, it's really just a book with pages upon pages of your guests names ... hmmmm, will you ever really even open it after the wedding?  Rachel from Couture Events in San Diego loves the idea of 'guestbooks with personality' and we have invited her in to guest blog about the ideas she loves the most!  Take it away, Rachel! Here at Couture Events we tend to stray away from the “normal” and everyday. We are drawn to the creative and unique instead. Maybe it’s all the themed birthday parties my mom planned for me as a kid, b...

I have thought about doing a photo guestbook using our engagement pictures….today the Groupon for Houston was for 70% off at Photo Book America. I had never heard of this website but decided to check it out! I was so pleasantly surprised when I saw their products. They even have books that are meant to be photo guest books and have ideas of books you can browse through. My absolute favorite was this one. It had different love quotes throughout the book and has plenty of white space for guests to sign their name and leave a message for the couple! Some of my favorite pages are below… Photo ...

Guestbooks are such a great idea to remind you of everyone that shared your special day with you, but sometimes books end up getting a put aside. Wouldn't it be so great if you use the guestbook even after the big day has come and gone? This vintage letter guestbook we saw on Style Me Pretty would be such an awesometastic addition to any new home and a constant memory of your special day! • In my ABC Of Weddings: G For Guestbook entry I mentioned how you could get guests to contribute to a canvas as part of a collaborative art work. So I was excited to see the idea come to life on One Love Photo. Shawn and Owen decided to do this at their wedding and had sunflowers with a grid sketched onto the canvas, the guests were invited by Kathleen (their appointed ‘art director’) to paint a square. After the wedding, she finished it up and a beautiful artwork was created. Here’s a progress shot of a guest painting under Kathleen’s watchful eye when the painting was out during cockt...

  • Most couples are opting out of the traditional wedding guestbook for obvious reasons (what do you really do with a book of everyone’s name and/or addresses other than send out thank you cards). So, what is the new trend?  A guestbook photobook of your engagement photos.  Guests sign on a blank page of a book filled with images of you and your fiance. BUT, when I saw this idea last week, I thought this was a fantastic idea! Image courtesy of Jonas Peterson via Earth Friendly Weddings It’s a “Wedding Tree.”  Have each of your guests place their thumbprint somewhere on the tree.  The...

We love this and found it over at, Groom Sold Separately (GSS) It’s a Sign-In Tree!  You could paint a tree yourself, or have a friend do it, or have a print of a tree that you like put on a canvas.  Pick out stamp pads that coordinate with your wedding colors and have your guests put their thumbprint as a leaf on the tree, along with their signature. ...
