While watching some of the many bridal shows on tv, I have noticed that the groom is often left out of the fun stuff! Here are a few ways to make him enjoy the wedding planning as much as you:* A day of golf for him and a few of his special friends* Tickets to his favorite sporting event* A party with all of HIS favorite foods and drinks* Create a special drink in his honor to be served on the wedding day* A grooms cake ( an oldie but a goody)These are just a few items to help make him feel as special as he is. Feel free to comment leaving any ideas you may have used or would like to use.Have ... |
Just a couple of nights before our rehearsal dinner, Paul realized he had forgotten to do something for our wedding that was very, very important. If the website I’m about to tell you about were around then, I don’t think we would have had this issue.... |
I’d never begrudge a mother of the groom her chance to get emotional on her son’s wedding day. But THIS behavior is just plain weird! ... |
Filed under: Food & Drink Courtesy of Great performances Most prospective grooms hear the term "wedding reception" and assume that their favorite treats won't be on the menu. Not to generalize, but "dude food" like pizza, nachos and spicy wings are football-game classics for a reason. And these types of goodies aren't on wedding tables for a reason too -- most often because the bride objects. She dreams of refined, sophisticated hors d'oeuvres, like blinis topped with caviar. He dreams of a juicy hamburger piled high with pickles, onions and cheddar cheese. This is where a talented cate... |
Most brides and grooms throw a cake server on their wedding registry, but in the three-plus years we've been married, Rory and I have never used our cake server. In fact, I don't even know where it is! (Probably buried in a closet with the crystal platters from Tiffany. Oops!) Here's a sweet gift that has the same sentiment as a cake server but is infinitely more useful. Etsy Seller You Name It Jewelry finds vintage forks, then stamps them with cute little sayings like "his" and "hers" or "mr." and "mrs." or "i do" and "me too!" Antique Wedding Cake Forks, $20. Have you gotten whiff {get it?} of Jen Aniston‘s debut perfume? Last year the fragrance launched in London, but just last week she was in Mexico City promoting her first attempt at the celebrity perfume craze with her new scent, simply named Jennifer Aniston {formerly Lolavie}. It smells totally amazing, which of course got me to thinking about brides and the importance of the fragrance they choose to wear on their big day! Ok, so it’s a given that any bride wants to look fabulous while all eyes are on her, but I think we can all agree that she probably wants to smell pretty fantastic too... |
This groom's cake totally made me LOL.... |
Grooms don’t always get that much love when it comes to their wedding day styling. Not fair. We wanted “Jake” to look super handsome, quirky-cool, yet modern. When we first laid eyes on the short-sleeved black and white polka dot tuxedo jacket at C. Madeleine’s Vintage Boutique, we knew we found the perfect look for him. Paired with a black bow tie, black skinny jeans and stylish patent leather tuxedo shoes, Jake rocked! P.S. Thanks for all your help Rebecca!
