Viburnum (snowball trees) are great to arrange with because they are so lush and full. Just remember to give them a nice clean diagonal cut with clean shears and then a little vertical slice, just like you would with lilacs. For this arrangement, I mixed them with:Green HelleboresLily of the ValleyHeuchara BlossomsBlueberry BlossomsStrawberry Blossoms + GreensLemon BalmSweet WoodruffI placed it in a handmade cream-colored, ceramic container and I think it suits the arrangement perfectly. Hope you Enjoy!...

Photo: Alison Rosa This simple centerpiece is perfect for a laid-back garden wedding (like today's featured couple, Talla and Matt's). Tulips, hyacinths, viburnums, and peonies are displayed in an array of vases with seating cards made from vintage air-mail envelopes. I love how these flowers look like they have been freshly picked from a nearby garden, giving the arrangement a natural, unfussy look. • HAPPY ST. PATRICKS DAY! Nestled deep withing one of the most prestigious neighborhoods on the Main Line, a sprawling cluster of suburban towns just outside of Philadelphia, lies the picturesque Appleford Estate. Dating back more than 300 years, this gentleman’s farm is surrounded by 24 of the most exquisite gardens any bride could hope to find for her outdoor wedding.  Originally part of a land grant from William Penn, Appleford is carefully maintained today as a working arboretum and bird sanctuary. The intense July heat proved to be no match against the charm of Appleford’s brightly hued flowering ga...

The groom, who is a marine mechanic by trade, made the most stunning of wedding cakes. The stage was set with a bold spring color scheme of chartreuse, white and touches of chocolate brown. He and his new bride, wearing a stunning silk gown with a nude color sash and train, made their way into their reception with a signature ballroom dance that was the delight of their guests. Mounds of white peonies, hydrangea and green viburnum sat on tables set with neutral linen cloths, and bleached ballroom chairs. Graceful orchids in chartreuse were scattered among the glittering votives. Gifts for the...

Now on to the reception...the rustic, oh-so elegant reception designed by Rebecca Stone at Duet Weddings and photographed by the incredibly talented Leigh Miller. Here are some of the details that Rebecca infused into this stunning affair... Dinner was held inside the barn which was revealed for the first time as cocktail hour ended and the heavy barn doors were slid open. The barn cast this incredible glow and warmth and holds this effortless elegance. Leigh's photos really show the gorgeous warmth that was felt inside with the incredible light and texture in her work. Tables- We ...

After reading about her eco chic friend’s wedding on Ethical Weddings, The Green Queen decided to take a look at her own wedding plans… and very kindly agreed to share them with us. Enjoy! My gorgeously green friend, Sarah got married a couple of months ago and sent me the write up of their sustainable wedding at Ethical Weddings. It reminded me that of course I wanted an ethical wedding. It’s just it’s really really easy to forget when you are planning the day. Especially when you have a groomzilla on your hands. One who wants everything perfectly matching. Well, it’s not over yet...
