• These grapes flavored with cherry Jell-O mix don't really have magical powers. And the name of the recipe given to me years ago was "cherry-flavored grapes," which prompted one friend to say, "Why would you make one fruit taste like another?" We will ignore that friend.  Instead, we will pay attention to another friend who, whenever she throws a party, calls me up and asks, "Can you please bring the Magic Grapes?" I've referred to this recipe as Magic Grapes ever since, and I like to think of them as the ruby red slippers of the fruit world. Bot...

I am obsessed with this simple dessert idea from Jamie Oliver. Take frozen grapes, pieces of really good chocolate and pair them with a chilled Grappa (or any other grape-based beverage) and set out for guests to munch on. It sounds so yummy. It would be lovely for Christmas and New Years....

How fabulous are these simple favors... I love the natural, easy, good for me feeling of them.  I actually said outloud:  "I want one."  Yum, fresh fruit in a cute little bag...all for me.  However, if you wanted some I would most certainly share with you. A pefectly simple DIY favor that I am adoring right now.  And while you mainly see grapes; the bags are filled with other fruits as well.  What I really love about this idea is that it really would work with any wedding style!  Just change the bag and how it's presented and viloa! P.S. - And you know I love that th...

Maggie is another of Misty from Bells and Bliss' clients. Misty sent me information about Maggie's wedding and told me that the centerpieces were to be all purple flowers and GRAPES! I can't wait to see the photos.Even though the invitation has the grape graphic, all of the other pieces have a coordinating scroll or plume. I didn't want them to be "grape invitations", but definitely wanted the theme to show through. The one tiny cluster adds a note of fun and whimsy to an otherwise formal suite.Response cards and an information card were printed in the coordinating lavender colors and fit ...

These photos from a gorgeous outdoor wedding at the Parker Hotel in Palm Springs, Ca. were just too good to keep to myself!  The  most notable element here is what an amazing job was done at working with the property’s natural abundance.  Simple, elegant florals alongside lush grapes, and check out the orange trees in the tent-an interesting take on bringing the outdoors in. Enjoy! Photos Courtesy of Floral Art ...
