What is a great cake without a pretty way to display it? Since I started writing this blog, I have spent hours scouring the internet for great cake stand sources and I have found some absolutely beautiful pieces. These, by Pleasing Pantry, are so pretty it's almost sinful to put anything on them... I love the delicate antique designs. So feminine and elegant. These would look absolutely gorgeous set up in a collection of sizes with pretty little cakes displayed together. Actually, any of these cake stands below would look great set up the same way... One of our favorite wedding blogs, Style Me Pretty, wrote a great post on cake stands last week. I have been meaning to share it with you all. I love all of the beautiful photos of the classic and modern cake stands available. While some may be too small for a wedding cake, this could be a great idea for a bridal shower. Since our baker doesn't supply the cupcake stand, I am currently on the hunt to find one. But most that I have come across are a bit tacky. Also, my other dilemma, my fiance, who is from Italy, loves the tradition of cutting the cake together but then also like the "cupcake" idea since its so "Americana" and totally different from Italian weddings. So I'm trying to see if we can have both idea's all in one. And just my luck, I came across a perfect display on Oh Happy Blog! that allows for both, genius!Subscribe to little winter bride... |

We are no stranger to Jenniffer from Cup A Dee Cakes. We’ve featured some of her gorgeous cakes before like this Scroll Pattern Cake and we have featured her on our Let Them Eat Cake Round Up more times than I can count. However, we’ve never met her brother…until now! Perhaps a coincidence, but regardless, it’s incredibly convenient that Mike creates gorgeous custom wood pieces…including cake stands like this one. You can read about the entire process from start to finish here on Mike’s blog. The most exciting part? This cake stand lights up. Although... |
I have something fun and different for you today. When Sarah of Sarah's Stands - a Cake Stand Company, emailed me about her gorgeous cake stands, I knew I had to put together something unique to showcase them. Since her cake stands come in many colors to coordinate with your wedding, I thought it would be fun to find matching cakes for them. And, of course, once I'm looking for one image - I find another and another. So a few of the cake stands have a bit more than just another cake with them :) Photo by Deidre Lynn Wedding Photography | Cake by My Sweet and Saucy Invitation from Benign Obje... |
