More and more brides are saying thank you to their guests by giving out favors. Favors are a fun gift to give, but I believe they need to be something that your guests are going to enjoy and not another trinket to put in their drawer. Some tips to help you decide on what type of favor to choose for your guests include: Do your homework and gather information and pics from magazines, see what's in style and trendy, and also choose something that will be relavant to your event. Personalize your favors in some way by using a motif, create labels with your monogram, incorporate pictures of the... |
Many wedding websites feature hundreds of favors for the bride and groom give to their guests as a way of thanking them for being part of/coming to their special day. There are DIY favors, extravagant favors, and everything in between from $1-???.How cute would this favor be? It would "tie" into my nautical/knot theme somewhat well:But....these little favors run for about $2. That means for 100 people at our wedding (and there will be more than that), we're already looking at $200!Here are the problems that I have with favors:at the weddings that I've been to, I haven't even gotten a favorwho ... |
In keeping with our “California romance” theme, Stephen and I initially considered staples like Jelly Belly candies or wine stoppers as favors for our guests. But when family friend Joann told us about a local company that created edible white chocolate boxes, we just had to check them out. And upon first glance, we knew we’d found the perfect favors. Not only were these Creations by Sharon boxes lovely, with an intricate design on each lid, but they were also filled with Jordan almonds and available in a variety of designs, all of which we loved. As seen above, we chose two differen... |
One of the most common questions I get is about wedding favors. Should I have them at all? What should I do? How many should I do?My answers are:Give one if you want toI recommend something edible - otherwise they tend to get left (not always, but quite often)One per couple (depending on what is it and cost)Giving your guest a favor is a small token of appreciation for attending the wedding and, depending on what it is, can possibly serve as a souvenir from the wedding as well. In many cultures, there are specifics favors given and they have a meaning behind them as well.Sugar-coated almonds a... |
Our favors were cds (burned onto cds modeled after vintage records), packaged in brown paper and tied with yellow ribbon and vintage airplane cigarette cards from the 1920s-1940s that I purchased on ebay. The cd covers were printe with a quote from French aviator and writer, Antoine de Saint-Exupery: "And now here is my secret: it is only with the heart that one can see rightly; what is essential is invisible to the eye."... |
We chose not to hand out favors but if we had, they would for sure be doled out in this pretty(and did I mention super easy) packaging. Homemade granola and tea sound lovely to meImages via Design Sponge... |
Wedding Favors…it’s one of those things where it is part of tradition so many couples feel obligated to have to provide a favor to their guests. The reality is, I (Wynn) usually end up gathering all the left over favors at the end of the night and pack it up and give it back to the couple. I’m sure after the wedding, you are not going to know what to do with 50 extra keychains or mini frames. Although these trinkets are cute, I’m a believer of not having things go to waste. When it’s a budget issue, this is the first place that I cut from the budget for my couples. If the c... |

Happy Monday! As most of you know we aren't huge fans of wedding favors here at Coastside Couture. So when we helped Megan and Drew plan their wedding at a private estate in Monterey we were happy to see that they were using freeze-dried pineapples and mangos as their gift to their guests! The cool thing is that Megan's family owns Just Tomatoes so this was the perfect way to personalize their favors by using something her family works so hard at! I especially loved that Megan's mom designed the label. photo taken by me on my phone... |
I found these adorable favors at White Aisle, a great stop for gifts, favors, jewelry, purses and any number of other things bridal.I think the chopstick idea is so cute. My Mr. and I used them at our wedding. We tied them with a ribbon and a tag with our initials. The tag said, "We work better as a pair" Get it? Because chopsticks AND married people do work better as a pair! It was cute. Everyone said so. *I just noticed that I say "cute" allllll the time. I'm trying to cut back. Call me on it.*... |
