I see the last of November as the perfect break in the holidays for a late fall wedding. All these deep amber, ochre and aubergine touches say we're just teetering on the brink of winter. Check out the ivy laced in with the roses . . . the fruits and berries. Many thanks to Shana over at SMP Style Circle. I'm forever lifting her beautiful inspiration boards off the site to share with you. And for a real treat in bridal potpourri check out her blog, Bauble and Bubbles.... |

But you knew there would always be the spring, as you knew the river would flow again after it was frozen.”— Ernest Hemingway, A Moveable FeastTo be completely vulnerable, this passage sums up my feelings exactly: I dread the fall and winter. In my experience they've brought sickness and sadness and mourning. I try to find romance in the changing leaves, bundled c... |

Today I was inspired by the onset of FALL. I see rich, warm colors and textures coming to the forefront of wedding styles. Shades of rust, copper, gold, cranberry, and orange are hot with a twist of an espresso or sage. Take a look at the beautiful pictures below as they inspire you to find a color scheme that is right for your wedding day or soiree! This color scheme was brought to us by 100 layer cake, a blog we love! To me it screams fall romance. Ritzy Bee put together beautiful collage of dahlias! Gentle Reader, as we come to the end of Autumn, I'm taking us on one last walk in the Fall park. One thing I've always wanted to incorporate is that nostalgic feeling we get as we remember the past and prepare for the coming change. And I think that is what weddings are all about, celebrating the past and present, celebrating two special people that found each other because the journey is just as important as the destination. Reception: from The Knot, this amazing table incorporates rustic charm and city chic. Baby's breath and phalaenopsis orchids are arranged in bamboo containers on a bed ... |
