• Engagement sessions are easily one of our favorites to photograph! They are 100% casual & fun, not to mention they are  such a great way for us to get to know our wedding couples and for them to get comfortable in front of our cameras. This is the session when we give them general directions on how to stand, what to do, and then we ask the world of them by telling them to completely ignore us… yes, that’s right… please ignore us while we freak out with excitement over the beautiful images we are creating together! All joking aside, engagement sessions are an absolute blast for us, a...

Michelle and David are some of my clients that are getting married next month at the gorgeous Vibiana venue in downtown L.A. They are cool. Through them I was able to meet and work with the fabulous photographers Allie and Brian Callaway of www.allieandbri.com.They are also way cool people on top of being fantastic photographers. I don't feel like I have to censor my humor and act proper when I'm with them! I asked Brian to write a little bit about the importance of engagement sessions and feeling comfortable with your photographers. You can see more pictures and read more on their blog.Allie...

Brittney's engagement session at Tryon Palace in New Bern. My cell phone camera does not do justice to this gorgeous champagne dress. She was a beautiful bride. We had lots of fun at the photo shoot. Can't wait to see the real photos from Beth Niser Photography....

I don’t usually post engagement sessions unless they’re a) completely awesome and b) totally gorgeous, and I think this one from Bamber Photography fills both of those requirements. How fun would it be to go to an orange grove or vineyard for an e-session? Pick some fruit, throw it at each other, and plus, you would have the gorgeous background of lush trees and pure, natural beauty.   ...

Reasons why I love this Nashville engagement session: the way it tells a story (the couple chose locations of first and other meaningful dates), the gorgeous turquoise wall, a delicious milkshake that I can almost taste, and the adorable couple of Matt and Alison. Enjoy the bliss! All photography courtesy of Kristen Steele Photography. ...

Rachel and Billy are the most adorable couple!  We don’t share many engagement sessions, but we couldn’t resist the sweet retro charm of this Alabama engagement session from Green Tree Photography.  Billy is an engineer and enjoys flying in his spare time, so what better place to hold their shoot than at the Moon Town Airport!  Rachel and Billy love traveling, their adorable pup, and a good glass of wine.  And these two are so down to earth that Billy proposed on a post-it note!  Of course, Rachel said yes and the rest is history. ...

We feel so fortunate to be working with so many great clients who are also all around great people.  We’ve noticed a trend that we tend to book a lot of people that enjoy helping others – doctors, nurses, teachers, dentists, lawyers, pharmacists, etc.  (Actually I think that list summed up 90% of our clients to date!)  We really feel privileged to work with such great people and document their wedding days. Erin (a Catholic school teacher!) and Chris (an ophthalmologist!) were no exception.  We had a great time wandering around the U of M Law Quad for their engagement session.  The im...

Christiana and Brad’s adorable Philadelphia engagement session has a dog, a bike, and some ice cream.  What more could anyone want?  Sofia Negron stopped down to Philadelphia from NYC for the day to capture the sweet “getting to know you” session, which incorporated the couple’s outdoorsy, sporty side and their love of sweets with a visit to The Little Candy Shoppe. ...
