Last week’s ballerina theme reminded me of woodland fairies and so I couldn’t think of anything more perfect to follow it up than an enchanted forest wedding theme. The forest provides a great backdrop to your wedding because the stunning vistas need almost no decorations and instead allow you to shine your brightest. Your wedding immediately exudes romance and the magical atmosphere infuses your day with the essence of a fairytale. {Images from: Design Sponge, Rock n Roll Bride, Style Me Pretty, Weddingbee Pro, Once Wed, Flights of Fancy, Rock n Roll Bride} To use the gorgeous venue to c...

This past weekend we arranged these gorgeous arrangements and bouquet for a wedding in Saugerties, NY. Alhia, the bride, wanted an "enchanted forest" theme for her decor and was inspired by the surrounding landscape. She also loved roses and whimsical touches, like butterflies. The Bride's bouquet had a gardeny mixture of heirloom roses and summer flowers, including nerrines, scabiosa pods, lavender, veronica, jasmine vine and umbrella fern. For the centerpieces, we arranged the flowers to appear as though "growing" out of a bed of moss, a perfect miniature landscape, with birch branches in t...

  • Following our first trends of 2010, Peacock Weddings, we’re also seeing brides-to-be who are inspired by an Enchanted Forest theme. The spring bride of 2010 is inspired by the earthy (yet heavenly) feeling of an ethereal wedding and she’s opting for soft and flowing gowns complimented by whimsical accessories. With elements like these, this theme oozes romance. Here are some of our favorite enchanted-forest wedding fashion to inspire and delight: From L to R:  Forest Bride, Enchanted Forest Bride, Green Bridesmaid,  Wedding Make-Up Accessories From L to R: Brides, Twiggy Up Do, Fancy Up...

Here are some more images of our work from the enchanted forest wedding. We just could not stop taking pictures of these centerpieces! We loved the table markers, which were designed by Kimberly Canale of Inspired Goodness. They complemented the floral design perfectly, and they are so much more fun and personal than the average table numbers. She has a step-by-step tutorial on her blog for making these. For the centerpieces we picked flowers that are both refined and wild. The garden roses bring that classic wedding look, which worked great in the...

I was so thrilled to work with some of the most amazing vendors on this project for Style Me Pretty. The Inspiration board for you shoot was an Enchanted Forest Wedding. When I started out designing the invitation, I wanted to do something organic. I designed to do wood invitations that were engraved with the invitation. The invitation has the look of a fairy tale with the large bookplate letter. The wood invitation also has bark on the sides! The menus are my favorite paper product. They were designed as die cut leaves and placed on each moss covered chair.I designed each menu with a Enchan...

When we received this next wedding in our submissions box, the title really piqued our curiosity. Kim, at Geranium Lake Flowers entitled it “Enchanted Forest”. We’re going to let Kim tell you the story before diving into the images … This wedding took place in the Columbia Gorge at a venue (appropriately) named Bridal Veil Lakes. It’s such a stunning outdoor venue that it’s hard to improve upon so our bride let us go wild with an “enchanted forest” theme that simply accentuated the natural beauty of the grounds. In order to really make use of the space, we placed the ceremo...
