Inspired by one of my favorite gals, Abby, over at Super Burbs, I began thinking about my guest book. Again. I hadn't originally thought I would have one. But after reading her post I was inspired. And then decided - OMG I HAVE to have one. As long as I can get a crafty friend to help me create one of these non-traditional DIY "books": {image via Love and Splendor}{image via MGC Puzzles}{image via Simply Divine Events}{image via Heartfelt Photo}... |

My first thought was to do a Shutterfly book for my guest book and alternate pages with photos of us and blank pages for signatures. That was all fine and good until I came across this beauty… The Wedding Tree - (Ours will not say Our Family Tree at the top) I work as a teacher. My grade level dean is the former art teacher at our school. I am going to purchase the canvas, brushes, and paint and he is going to paint a tree, our names, and our wedding date onto the canvas. I am going to create a cute little sign that says “Leaf us your fingerprint and sign your name” along side v... |

Tina submitted this awesome guest book, using her engagement pictures and her guests’ good wishes! Instructions: I created a photobook of our engagement photos on Blurb.com. Each page included a photo of us on the left and a number on the right. The number represented an anniversary and was laid out in the circle pattern from our monogram. I used my gocco printer to print the different images/designs from our paper products onto oval scallop cards from Paper Source. I printed two sets of the numbers 1-50 in our fonts for the day on 8.5″X11″ paper. I used a 2″ circle shape punch to m... |

A bit ago I posted about my alternative to the traditional guest book here. I picked up the finished product last week. A co-worker made it for free. All I had to do was purchase the 16×20 canvas. I got it for less than $10 at a local store. Similar items are being sold for close to $100 on etsy…so I was pleased to spend so little. Our TREE Now I just need to purchase assorted green ink pads and fine point black Sharpies for our guests to leave their mark. I think it will be different and something my fiance and I can hang on our wall to remember our special day. ... |
Still Lovin' the Whole Idea of a Quilt Guest Book Image from Style Me Pretty Oh happy, delightful day! Remember a few weeks back I posted on a Guest Book Quilt. Well guess what ladies. I found a real wedding that has done it! (I think) Basically guests write their well wishes on a square of fabric and hang them to a line with a clothes pin. I especially like this idea because it appeals to my social media sensibilities. Guests can see each other's comments. Almost like a comment thread on a blog {grin}. Images from Style Me Pretty My only question is: what kind on pen did they use?... |
