• There is something about Chivari chairs that I love! Nothing against the covered chairs with bows. I am just not a huge fan of them. Chivaris are elegant just the way they are. Surfing around the net, I’ve found Chivari chairs with an extra touch and had to share. Aren’t they lovely? If you are having Chivaris for your wedding, even if you add a little something to the groom’s and bride’s chairs only, it will make a beautiful difference. When it comes to the reception, most brides {myself included} use the chairs provided to them by the reception venue. Some brides dress up those chairs with chair covers. There are a few lucky brides that are blessed to have a venue offering chivari chairs {or pay a rental company to provide them}. And then there are brides that take the lovely chivari chairs to a whole new level:These pink cushions are absolutely divine. What a great way to utilize the beauty of the chivari chair and incorporate a color from your color palette! And my little eyes spy matching pink ribbon woven into the back o...

{Images courtesy of The Nichols via Style Me Pretty}This wedding being featured on Style Me pretty today is a little bit country, a little bit anthro, and a whole lot of Martha = winning combo. The details are capital AMAZING. P.S. I have a little recommendation for those that are putting together their own invitations. Rent the sing along version of Mama Mia! I may or may not have watched it three times last night while I was elbow deep in 100 invites and singing along to dancing queen made me forget that I still had 95 invites to wrap with twine/ assemble with kraft RSVP stickers, blah, bla...

Once upon a time a boy asked a girl if she'd like to escape the city that they lived in and go for a walk in the countryside with him and his doggies. They spent a glorious day sitting by the reservoir, stomping through the woods, exploring the ancient graveyard, trespassing in the grounds of private mansions and lying in the grass staring at the deep blue sky while the doggies sat nearby and scowled. Lying in the grass was not what they had had in mind when they were offered a walk. The boy and the girl got to know each other that day, they traded stories about when they were wee and when the...

There are so many things that I love about this picture.  The colors, the fern, the books, and the bookmarks... I love the thought of blending in with nature, the down to earth goodness feel, and the homemade bookmarks...which I am over the moon about!  I think a homemade bookmark inside a vintage book would be a lovely favor for guests, don't you? And to make your own bookmarks, click here to purchase the book. ~  Ciao ...image via melanie falick books  ...

How about something new for a new year? It’s new to me, anyway, as I’ve never heard of anything like it, and I know for a fact I haven’t written about it before. What is it, you ask? Wooden flowers. Yes, that’s right. I’m talking about flowers made out of wood. A few weeks ago, if someone had asked me what I’d imagine a wooden bouquet to look like, I would have answered with a description of a “grandma tchotchke.” You know, like a bowl of clunky wooden tulips in an off-color garage sale vase. But I’d be wrong, because the wooden flowers I have in mind are delicate and pretty...
