Getcha, Getcha Ga-ga–naache (to be sung in your head to the tune of Lady Marmalade) Ganache!!! Gesundheit!  (I’ll admit…this one was my favorite) I can’t believe I have waited this long to talk about my very favorite thing when it comes to wedding cakes:  Ganache.  Most people think ganache is just a fancy word for “Chocolate Icing” but I am here to tell you my friends…it is not.  Ganache is its own speci...

Does anyone else have the strong desire to just whip out your finger and dig it right into this cake until your knuckle deep in chocolate ganache or is that just me? This three tiered circle cake is slathered in bittersweet ganache and beautiful blue fondant bands around each tier. The flowers on the top and the side just make the cake pop with color.  I have to admit I love the placement of the flowers as well.. kudos to Hana and Posy in Philadelphia, Pa.  Now that we have appropriately drooled over the OUTSIDE let’s talk about what’s inside.  This is a chocolate fudge cake with raspbe...

Filed under: Favors Everybody loves chocolate. Well, almost everybody. And who does it better than Godiva? They have a gorgeous range of luxury chocolate favors that are melt-in-the-mouth delicious. The range is small but perfect and we particularly love their wedding cake-shaped chocolate favors. Inspired by New York cake artist, Sylvia Weinstock, the white chocolate couture favors are filled with hazelnut praline, whilst the milk chocolate pieces are filled with dark chocolate ganache. Each favor is presented in an elegant, ribbon-wrapped white box and cost $38.00 for four. Yes, they are pri...
