After sharing the news of your engagement with your parents and his leave a message on your insurance company's voicemail that you need to insure your ring.It would be a horrible way to start off the new year (and your engagement) if your ring was lost, stolen or damaged and it wasn't covered. And if you do get engaged tonight or tomorrow, congratulations!...

Wow. Where did this week go? There were so many things I wanted to post before Christmas and I'm almost out of time. The last few days have been spent cleaning, baking, packing, wrapping, and shopping in anticipation of our trip down to Vancouver today! If I don't make it back to blogland before the twenty-fifth, I want to take a moment to say that I hope you all have a happy and safe Christmas. I am so thrilled with where my blog journey has taken me over the last year and I am so luck to have met some fantastic people. I appreciate all of your support - those that know me personally and tho...

  • We are open 364 days a year, 24 hours a day. The only day we close is Christmas and this makes for a very busy day on Christmas Eve. So… to make it a little easier for our pick-up customers we move everything out back and create a drive-thru. Cars are loaded with Christmas feasts, tablecloths and rentals, and our guests are invited to enjoy coffee, eggnog and cookies as they wait. It’s a wonderful time of year and we truly enjoy the opportunity to get to know our customers a little better. Merry Christmas from the Jay’s Family to you and your’s....

  • The Eve Of Christmas Over two thousand years have already gone by Since Jesus was nailed on a cross to die His teachings were done by words and deed And thousand would listen, and thousands would heed. The words of His wisdom, and that of God As many miles on foot would he trod Let Peace be on earth, would be His command, And nothing less than this should we demand! On the Eve of His birth let us all be blessed And thank our God as we see the end of our quest. Let us all stand together, as brother and friend And pledge our love, and respect to a world without end. Together we sta...

Squee! The most wonderful time of the year, indeed! Um, GASP! I'd say yes to this ring any day of the year. I loooooove how the diamond is set! (Asscher Cut Diamond Ring in Platinum Set on the Diamond Shape with a Vintage Style Band from Kwiat.) Engagement Season! The days from Thanksgiving to Valentine's Day have been dubbed "Engagement Season" by the industry, since SO many guys propose between the two holidays, and with good reason! I hope you have something spectacular planned for Christmas! I think Christmas Eve has become by favorite holiday. I know it sounds silly, because really it should be Christmas, and it used to be. I mean the hub-bub, and waking up early cuz Santa came!Santa came! And the jumping on the bed to wake everyone in the house up at 6AM and my parent stumbling to make coffee just to stick toothpicks in their eyes while my sister and I hustle and bustled to tear everything open faster than my parents could stir cream into their coffee.... that part will always hold a special place in my heart. Me a...

I plopped on the bed this morning and sighed. And then I sighed louder so JD could ask what was wrong. It just doesn't feeeeel like Christmas Eve. I don't know what I was expecting. Snow? Chestnuts roasting on an open fire? Santa's footsteps on the roof? Nah. But something was missing. I'll be the first to admit I suffer from the Greener Grass Syndrome (someone is having more fun and eating tastier food wearing cuter shoes with perfect hair right now), so perhaps this played into how I felt. JD suggested grabbing our books and heading to the beach with Polo. And like Baby Bear's por...
