Happy Friday! I hope you all have fun plans for the weekend! J and I are headed to Switzerland tonight for a teensy-tiny getaway. I'll share more later. :o)For the weekend, I'll leave you with this image ... lately, I am gravitating toward framed charcoal nudes ... there is something so unstructured and fluid about the lines. I'd love to see the concept embraced by a wedding trend ... perhaps instead of icky boudoir photos, the bride could commission a budding artist? Or have a modest version drawn and on display at the wedding? Thoughts??See you Monday!{Image: via avant garde design}... |

Silver, floor-length Love by Enzoani gowns found at Bliss Bridal Salon in Fort Worth, will look absolutely stunning on your maids! Accessorize your dress with silver sequins like this gorgeous pair of peep-toes from Stanley Korshak in Dallas—we think these would look fab peeking out of a bridal gown or rocked with a little white reception dress! Deep plum is such a great color for a Fall wedding. Adding charcoal grey and pink might be a bit unexpected but the combination is a great balance between masculine and feminine style. Bride and Bridesmaids: A satin sash on the bride’s gown could coordinate with deep plum bridesmaid dresses. Groom and Groomsmen: Charcoal grey suits for the men with deep plum ties. A surprising shot of color could be included in the suit lining or fun, striped socks. Stationery Options: Our Love Logo #9 wedding invitation (printed in Slate ink on White paper) is a great masculine choice while the Sophie s... |
If you’re having a formal wedding in the spring and prefer to stay away from vivid or pastel colors, a palette of black and charcoal is a classic, timeless option. Adding Leaf Green as an accent color keeps the combination from being too austere and adds a fresh feeling for Spring. The bride and bridesmaids: A bouquet with lots of greenery would look great against a white gown and one bold piece of jewelry (like a vintage-inspired green locket) would be a fun, unexpected accessory for the bride. Bridesmaids could wear charcoal dresses and hold bouquets of all-white blooms. The groom and groo... |

Light and summery colors are just what I needed to cheer me up on this spring day, so I love the cheerful tabletop that the team of Chelsea Renee Photography and Ashley Stanley Designs created for the Inspired Creations Contest! The color palette of lemongrass, periwinkle, and charcoal is unique and beautiful, and the ladies incorporated playful details such as candy favors that double as escort cards, checker board place mats, and DIY glittery vases (see below for easy instructions on how to make these yourself!). To make the glittery vases, simply apply double-sided tape in a striped pa... |
For today’s color palette I was inspired by this gorgeous shade of emerald green. Paired with shades of jade, charcoal gray and stone, this palette reads modern and chic to me. However, styled the right way it’d be perfect for a cozy, winter wedding don’t you think? As always, there’s a lot more color inspiration where this came from! Our latest inspiration board was done by Erinn in our office. She was inspired by the color plum and the richness it brings to a wedding. Mixed with the dark charcoal and lighter slate gray, the board becomes very vintage, romantic, and elegant in it's details.
