There are very few things that I really dislike, but one of them is hideous chair covers. Most are ill-fitting white covers that require an equally hideous chair tie, ruining the entire look of your decor. Just like shell-shaped napkins and mall bangs, they are totally 80s (in a bad way). Most times I think that the ugly metal banquet chairs would be less of an eye sore because they will at least blend in better. If gorgeous, decorative chair covers like these aren’t in your budget, consider renting simple wooden folding chairs. Photos courtesy of Wildflower Linens.... |
Lately, when I wonder around the city on my errands, I’m blown away by the resurgence of trends of my youth walking the streets: Doc Marten Boots, Neon Hair… And yet it’s cool to see the new spin on things that these old styles are taking AND even cooler to see how fashion will always reach back and quite literally make everything old new again… And so it is with weddings! When Mayra and I were just starting out, the Chair Cover was all the rage… At the time they were more like white satin bags that would get a bow slapped across the back, but it ... |
Today's post covers a beautiful inspiration shoot, taking a look at four different spins centered around the same basic theme and product - the lovely "Love" chair covers by Customized Wedding Creations. Up first, a rustic approach to the table design - no linen, just dark placemats that correspond to the wood-like chargers. Perfect for an outdoor event. The "Love" chair covers take the table from fun to festive for a destination wedding or a backyard "I do." Swap out the chargers, upgrade your napkins to a corresponding color and add a beautiful napkin treatment and your tabletop just tr... |
One of the quirks of the barn is the man who oversees its rental. It’s owned by a larger group, but this guy has all the say, at least as far as I know. He’s made a couple of ridiculous rules (which seem to not always be enforced). The barn is rented with tables and chairs in it. The tables are rustic looking aged wood, while the chairs are metal and folding. (Source: KristenHenschen on Flickr) At first I thought that was no problem, we’d just rent different chairs. I mean, heck. Anything is better than a metal folding chair! But it turns out that they don’t allow that at all. You use... |

We are just curious about what look you like better ? Personally I think the chiavari chairs do make your event much more elegant but they also come with a larger pricetag. Chair Covers really do finish your reception room off as well and are a less expensive choice. It is all up to your budget and personal taste. A few tips though no matter which route you go. Please remember that cheaper is not always better. In my 12 years experience I have seen a LOT of problems with both of these options. From paint missing and chips out of the wood chairs to stained seat cushions. Make sure to meet with ... |

If you’re planning to use ballroom chairs (otherwise known as chiavaris) at your reception dining tables, Houston bride, make sure they’re dressed for the occasion. Anyone who’s familiar with The Linen House knows that Jan Cancila and her crew are always coming up with new ideas and beautiful designs in wedding linen. We recently came across some of their gorgeous covers and accents, which bring out the elegance of ballroom chairs, rather than concealing the chairs completely. How about the feminine, fabulous Ballerina Chair Cover? We adore the combo of buttons and bow—a perfect way to... |
